I would like to highlight the good things first: good buffet breakfast, it has good seasoning and good options; The bed is comfortable, the towels look like they are new and dry very well, the AC works well and the service from Alan, the Bellman is great (the best thing about the hotel I would say was the Bellman service). This is what saves it from not having 1 star, really. Now, the hotel is falling apart, it is not possible that only 1 elevator serves the entire tower and not only for guests, but also for employees! The service elevators don't work either! Impressive that this goes back almost 1 year and that management only answers “let's work on it” clearly nothing has been done about it. They have a serious problem with the plumbing, they had to change my room 3 times because it smelled worse than the bathroom on the road. Furthermore, the attitude of the staff is disastrous, they make balls all the time even in the presence of guests, seeing how at breakfast the waitress Josefina ate a piece of bread and shamelessly ate it throughout the room with her mouth open is unacceptable. and disgusting! Good thing it wasn't my waitress. Obviously for the price I didn't expect to be treated like in a Four Seasons, but at least I expected that there would be cleanliness and that they wouldn't leave the bones of an orange in the room and used soap with hair next to the towels. It is seen that the receptionists have no experience or service attitude since when I wanted to make a complaint they only told me “ahhh ok”, only 1 receptionist was interested in listening to me, which was the same one who was seeing which room was the best to stay What put the icing on the cake was that the polisher went up to the guest elevator (because the service elevator doesn't work) and he didn't want to let us pass, we got in but when we went down we saw how he closed the door in his face other guests and they They had to put their hand in to get the doors to open again. The Bellman made a gesture of complaint and while they closed the doors the polisher made fun of him. The pool is dirty but the lounge chairs are comfortable to spend time on. The only thing the hotel has is being cheap but from there on out... DON'T PRAISE IT!!! Invest 200 pesos more and better stay in a Holiday Inn or rent an Airbnb.

Clean but old, only 1 of the 3 elevators works and there are 20 floors, although it looks like they remodeled and changed floors and painted, the furniture and doors either don't close properly or look kind of dilapidated, the daily room access card is misconfigured . One factor to consider is that next door there is a disco called Genesis, so on Fridays and Saturdays you will hear the booming music and the windows in the room will vibrate until 4am. For the rest, well located and price-space ratio could be said to be good.

I just returned from Guadalajara and stayed at the Mision Carlton. I agree that the decor is from the 60's, lots of orange but the room was large, it had a table and chairs plus two beds. The tv had 3 english stations, the bell staff was extremely helpful. The pool was very cold. We went to Wal mart and got fresh patries every day and walked downtown several times it's about 6 blocks and it costs less than 2 dollars to take a taxi.

A 20-story hotel where only one elevator worked and with a maximum of 6 people, up to 15 minutes to wait for their turn. The air conditioning in the room did not work. On television, only the over-the-air channels looked good. Poorly lit emergency stairs and uneven steps at different heights. Even though at the time of reception they told me that it included breakfast, the next morning they told me no, I showed them the PDF on my cell phone indicating that it included breakfast, they simply told me no.

The hotel staff was very kind and attentive. The hotel is definitely dated. One of three elevators working. Room looks clean but shower is extremely slippery. Bath towels are dingy.

The hotel is next to genesis dance club, the vibration, music and sounds of loud club goers was heard clearly in room 511.

I don't recommend staying here if you want to get any sleep.

The hotel is extremely neglected, the walls are stained, the furniture in the room is old and battered, the mattresses feel old and unsupported, the lamps are broken or in poor condition, the bathroom is neglected and full of tartar, and the room does not even have curtains. Better spend about 300 pesos more and get a decent room at some other hotel. I feel cheated.

I join the rest of the negative opinions. I confirm only 1 elevator with capacity for only 6 people, it is a real viacrucis going up and down. Furniture and facilities is like traveling to the 80's but without maintenance. Room 1303 horrible is insufficient to describe. Grim emergency stairs, perfect for a horror movie. The regular restaurant, carrying the same furniture theme. The staff half tries to do something to save the ship but everything is insufficient in the face of the catastrophe of the facilities.

This hotel is drab and dissappointing (Dont go by the picture).
Probably built in the 60's and very large, it has not been maintained.
The rooms have not been painted, the windows are dirty, the furnishings and carpet are outdated, old and worn, and the beds sag. The main lobby is drab and cavernous and the restaurant food and decor are below average. They dont keep the place up.

The location is not for tourists being about 1.25 miles from the city center and you risk your health walking down Ave. 16th of September because of all the potholes and intense traffic. The only amenity in the area, if you can call it that, is a new giant walmart across the street. The staff, on the other hand, was curtious, knowledgable and helpful. They mostly speak english and try to be accommodating.

I can not write enough bad things about this hotel. Although the staff did try to please us. As we entered our room; a smashed dead bug on the wall, stained carpet, stained bed sheets.....just disgusting.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!

Mission Carlton is pretty when you walk into the lobby. When you get to the room the sheets look like they've never have been changed. The furniture looks like it's been in the room since it's been built. All night the air conditioner was making loud knocking noises. I'm so glad we only stayed one night. I don't recommend this hotel for anybody.
