Troppo was an unknown destination when my best friend and I decided to visit Zihuatenejo over ten years ago. We have since returned eight or nine times. The ambience created by Rene and David's exquisite sense of beauty, comfort and perfection is exceptional. It welcomes your first step past the fountain, under the palapa, and through the door, then thrills...

The first time we went to LaQuinta Troppo, we felt like family. Every year is more special. My girlfriend and I leave spouses behind and trek to LaQuinta Troppo every winter. The beauty of Zihuatenejo, the beaches, the walk into town, the lunches and marguaritas, the flowers on the bed at night - all make this a trip we love....

I had a great experience staying at La Quinta Troppo and would highly recommend the resort to any single or couple on vacation. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. I arranged the travel with David via e-mail before getting there. I'd recommend e-mail over trying to reach them by phone. He arranged transportation from the airport (included in...

For the past five years my husband and I have been spending a week or so in November at what really is a little piece of paradise called La Quinta Troppo in Zihuatanejo Mexico. It is a family run, eightbedroomed exquisite small hotel situated on a hillside overlooking la Ropa Bay - which has the prettiest beach in the area. Each...

From breakfast to dinner (with snacks and cocktails in between), you hardly have to leave the charming and wonderfully set up little paradise hotel which allows you to enjoy family company for as long as you want. And when you need some private/quiet time, the rooms provide the perfect space to do so. Many of them have terraces and balconies...

We had such a lovely stay at La Quinta Troppo. The hotel is just beautiful and quite unique. The photos on the website don't really do it justice but do give some idea of the style of the place; It is stylish in a relaxed and authentic way, without being sterile or overbearing or pretensious and generally there is unusual...

We were absolutely enthralled by our entire experience at La Quinta Troppo! We really couldn't fault our time there at all. To start with - the location is great. It's a beautifully positioned hotel, with sweeping views of the picturesque bay of La Ropa. The beach is only a few minutes walk and infact the hotel benefits in the privacy...

“The night time temps are quite warm, but the rooms stay at a comfortable temperature with the aid of ceiling fans and air conditioners. Our room, Neptune, had a hammock hanging in the adjoining outdoor patio area which overlooked the pool area. Great for that late afternoon snooze.”
