This was the second time we stayed at Solimar Inn. If you like small and quaint you will love it there. Everyone is so nice. You get to know the other people staying there since there are only 12 units. The pool is a nice gathering place to meet the other guests. Many of the guests are people that return...

After spending many years staying in Ixtapa my husband and I decided to stay in Zihua for a change. We stayed at the Hotel Solimar for 11 days starting Feb.10. It is a great hotel tucked into a residential neighborhood. The hotel is a great value and we would stay there again. The suites look out over a small park...

We picked this place because we had a chance to look it over the year before. It is safe, clean, friendly, and in the best location possible for those who want to be in Zihuat, close to the markets, bakery, laundry, restaurants and beaches. We were able to walk everywhere. Senor Edison and his family are SO HELPFUL with whatever...

We went to Zihuatanejo on the recommendation of a friend and one of the highlights was staying at the Hotel Solimar. Edison and his family were wonderful hosts -- incredibly helpful and accommodating. The location is good -- we walked easily everywhere we wanted to go -- even Playa La Ropa took only about 20 minutes. When we return, this...

We loved the location of this small Mexican Hotel...a delightful walk to the beaches, markets and downtown area. Thanks to Edison and his family we felt welcome and safe. Edison’s excellent English and knowledge about Zihuatanejo was very helpful in answering our many questions. The sparkling pool was a great place to cool down after long walks as well as...

I visited Zihuatanejo to film the underwater sealife and I wanted a secure hotel where I knew my camera equipment would be safe. Thanks to Edison and his wonderful family I never worried when I left the equipment in my room. There is always someone watching the front door and the whole family works together to make sure their guests...

If you don't care about being right on the beach, this is a great location--in a residential neighborhood close enough for an easy walk to the beaches, far enough from town to be quiet. Our studio was modest, but clean and comfortable. We had a kitchenette, so could make coffee, make our own ice cubes for drinks, and pick up...

This was exactly what I had planned on. We stayed in a "Suite G" or the largest of the suites that can house up to 5 adults. 5 of us students were looking for a relaxing and fun place to stay at with a good location. A very short walk to the main beach and a short $3 cab ride...

What a great place ! After having a problem with our reservations elsewhere (they didn't have a room for us). We walked in, toured the Solimar and checked in on the spot. Edison, his family and staff were treated us like long time customers. Answering any and all questions and even helping with our previous reservation problems. The suites are...

This small hotel is withing walking distance of beaches and shopping areas in town. The rooms are clean and well supplied. The staff is friendly, especially the manager, Edison. He is very knowledgeable and helpful about restuarants and places to see and is more than willing to help. This is not a high priced, showy resort hotel. However, if you...
