The villa is beautiful once you enter but the street noise is unbearable. Situated on the mountain up from town in a neiborhood that has lots of inconsiderate neighbors, who party in the streets at all hours of night, and the owners dogs who wake you promptly at 8:00 am. If you are looking for proximity to the gay beach...

Of course everyone has a noise level they can tolerate. This guest did mention the noise, the walk to the beach, etc etc. We are in a neighborhood and we are up on the hill where the views are. We don't try to hide that fact anywhere. As to a 30 minute walk, it's all in how you walk I guess....

My husband and I stayed at Villa David ten years ago. I don't understand the negative reviews. We met the most wonderful staff imaginable and it was definitely one of our top 2 vacation spots (which is to say lots since we travel at least 12 times a year). The friendships made here are ones we will cherish for a...

We wanted to do something special for our 25th anniversary. Originally, we wanted to do a cruise, but our schedules were too tight. We're a little tired of the unwelcoming attitudes in the Caribbean. So the husband surprised me by finding this amazing jewel and planning a surprise trip to Puerto Vallarta - a first trip for both of us....

I and two friends of mine just returned from a three day weekend at Villa David, Puerto Vallarta. The three of us got two rooms after much discussion about the trade-offs of staying at a Bed and Breakfast versus a full service hotel. As I have Platinum status with Starwood Hotels, we were weighing the pros and cons of staying...

Now that I have visited Villa David six times in the past four years, I believe that I am entitled and qualified for an honest review. I can't say enough for Bill (owner/manager) and the staff at Villa David. They all do a great job in making everyone feel at home. The entire complex is kept immaculate with a staff...

Generally a nice place with a decent breakfast. The dogs (3) could be a problem at times, barking at guests early in the morning and doing their business in strategic traffic areas, with cleanup sometimes slow. Pool was nice but didn't get much sunlight. Wi-Fi was available in some locations, but not the lower level. The 4 units on the...

We have rooms on the lower level. It is on our webpage, there are photos of the rooms and they are priced accordingly . There are double windows in these rooms to make them quieter and true, there is a limited amount of fresh air flow, but being that close to the street, most people opt to use the air...

We had searched long and hard for a place to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. Other than Canada we had never been out of the U.S. so we bombarded Bill with many emails and questions; sorry Bill. He was always prompt with a reply. The taxi drove us from the airport to the door of Villa David. It is up on...

From the moment I contacted Villa David, everything flowed flawlessly. My every email inquiry was promptly answered, instilling confidence that I had made the right choice. Bill and David run a top-notch beautiful B&B! When I booked my reservation for the last week of April, they told me I'd have the villa to myself for the first five days. Bill...

From the first impression at the door with warm greeting, Adalberto taking our luggage to the room, cold beers in hand, tour with Bill (holding Athena with one hand up the towering spiral staircase!), the stress melted away. We had just finished our own season of running a B&B and our badly needed vacation was almost ruined (another story) if...
