My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of July. We had a great time and really liked that the hotel was not full of Americans. About 80% Mexican, 20% American. Many Mexican famillies were here (multi-generational) and there were lots of kids. The staff were all great and very friendly. My boyfriend speaks Spanish and...

We just got back from 5 nights at the Sol Melia Puerto Vallarta. We chose this hotel because we wanted a kids club that would take our son, who is almost three. Most kids clubs don’t start until age 4 or 5. As far as I can tell, the choices are the Melia, and the Crown Paradise(just below the marina)....

We would have given this resort 4 stars except for the condition of the elevators. For most of the time we were there, at least one of the two elevators to our room was broken. On the last day, both were; so, we had to either walk up eight flights of stairs or go on a scary service elevator (and...

Ok, I went here with my family, and we had high espectations as we had previously stayed at Melia azul in Ixtapa. Melia azul is much better, and all the rooms are pretty much the same as the melia experience in vallarta. Bad points: Bad service. At the restaurants you get served once at the begining (drinks) the you litterally...

Stayed at the Melia July 11-18 for our anniversary. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to an M experience Oceanfront room as a gift. It was very nice! Pool is good. Typical resort...they don't allow people to reserve pool chairs, but everyone does it and no one is called on it. Don't get angry, just play along! Pool service is...

I went to this hotel with my girlfriend for the July 4th weekend to celebrate her birthday, and we had a very relaxing time. We were looking for a mid-priced all-inclusive hotel where she could get pampered, and I could just laze around the pool. The hotel is conveniently located in the Marina area, about five minutes to the airport,...

Our vacation at the Melia was very nice we found all the staff at the hotel to be genuinely friendly and helpful. Service was the key at the Melia. I travel a few times per year and have stayed at many all inclusive resorts and love most of them but I think the Melia offers the best hotel for service....

As a first time traveler to Puerto Vallarta & The Melia Resort- I really valued the reviews I had read prior to our trip and feel compelled to describe what this hotel was really like. My boyfriend and I (25yrs old) got to Melia and it was beautiful! I had called the hotel before our arrival and asked them to...

I just loved this hotel. It was quite family oriented but my sister and I really enjoyed staying here. It catered to many different age groups and there was something for everyone. The pool had lots of fun entertainment and sports to play and it was also very relaxing. I enjoyed the swim up bar, the snack bar and the restaurants...

There are a lot of very good reviews on this hotel, which led me to believe that it would be better than it was. When you arrive at the airport you are bombarded with people offering you rides. Your best bet is to go outside, cross the street and grab a taxi there. These taxi drivers will not try to...
