It seemed like an interesting place at first, nice courtyard, great location, but that's where the joy ended. The rooms are primitive, and the staff had no interest in keeping the place quiet at night. The gentleman working at the front desk (connected to the whole courtyard) just talked to his friends (loudly) into the early hours of the morning.... More

Very clean hotel, very quiet in a nice neighborhood 15 minutes walking to the centre. Small room but not tiny with 2 beds (1 double + 1 single) : single occupancy only 250 M$ even if it's written 450 ! Fan cooled fine, no need of a/c in mid-November. No mosquitoes at all. TV, Wifi (sometimes weak in the room,... More

We love this place. We have stayed here for years, when our kids were young and now just my husband and I. Good experience with staff. Always feel safe and secure and the ladies clean your room daily.

This hostel is located in the old part of town, just south of the river, at the border of zona romantica and a few blocks away from the ocean. The hotel is well kept and the rooms are getting cleaned daily. Some of the hotel staff at the reception speak English well, some a bit less, but still well enough... More

Totally cheap budget hotel. I really liked the atmosphere and decor. You get what you pay for though but that's all right. However we were an hour late to check out and they charged us half a night's stay. When everything's so cheap it doesn't matter but it was an unexpected expense.

I stayed at Azteca for a few days and had a great rate of 250 pesos per night. It seems that all the budget hotels in this area are having promotions and do not know if it is because of low occucanpcy as the hotel was not busy. It is well run very clean and a great price. The rooms... More

We stayed here for several nights on Spring Break with our kids. We are accustomed to and overall prefer local budget hotels to chain hotels, but Azteca was just OK. The rooms are pretty small, and when it's warm out and everyone is sleeping with the windows open (no A/C), you can hear EVERYTHING. Not a quiet place. Unfortunately, there... More

I liked this spot as it's affordable, tow blocks from my bus south and really nice staff. The only problem I had was with the noisy, in this case Mexican guests there who came back intoxicated and made a lot of noise on all levels it seemed till quite late. The design of the hotel, hacienda style, with the open... More

I stayed Azteca in early Dec for a few nights. It's on Madero, where you find a bunch of budget lodgings, it's easy to compare shopping. I've checked prices and rooms on that street, I'd say Azteca offered the best deal. The rate on reception showed more than 400 pesos, but the helpful guy offered me 250 pesos a night... More
