This is, by far, the cleanest and most modern place on Stone Island. Great internet, the AC is quiet, the showers actually have pressure beyond that of gravity. Very nice accommodations. Every morning I woke up to a view right out of a Corona commercial. Gary does his best to make sure you have everything you need. There are kitchenettes...

Stone Island Gardens is a hidden gem, mostly overlooked by tourists because of its location off the beaten track! Gary, Anna, and staff are some of the nicest people you could meet. With the attached beachside restaraunt and in room kitchenettes, meals are conveniant and delicious. Only steps to the beach and excellent views are an added bonus. Hotel is...

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon for one day/night in October 2009. This is a long overdue review so there is no option under "Date of Stay" so I picked the same month for your reference. It is off season and it is HOT, uncomfortably so midday. It was a stopover sandwiched in between a stay at...

My husband and I had the best time at Stone Island Gardens. Our room was affordable and clean with a beautiful ocean view. The family that runs the hotel is so great and will do anything to welcome you and help you enjoy your stay. I met so many wonderful people, I cried when we had to leave. The restaurant...

Me and my girlfriend left the city of Guadalajara for a round trip through México. Once we discovered Stone Island Gardens on Isla de la Piedra near Mazatlán in the state of Sinaloa, we changed our minds... The fact that we spent ALL of our vacation time at Stone Island Gardens says it all! The hotel is a family business,...

Stone Island is safe and yet a great place for an adventure. You can walk all day and perhaps not get to the resort that is safely tucked away at the end of the island nearest the airport. They will let you breakfast there but truthfully the orange juice was from a carton and I preferred the OJ back at...

We just returned from a five day stay at Stone Island Gardens, and it was wonderful! The other reviews here captured it well: a down-home Mexican village ambience with beautiful beaches and good food. Our first night was in the older unit, which was fine, but the mattress was a bit hard. We moved to one of the newer units...

This place seriously has it all. How far from the beach? Oh, there it is. Seriously, trip down the lobby stairs and you're eating sand! And what a charming beach, 12km long, gentle waves, not so many vendors like the mainland, horseback riding at sunset anyone? Beautiful, newly renovated rooms with big comfy beds, lovely bathrooms (huge showers!), sprawling patios...

This is a family run hotel and right on the beach on Isla La Piedra. Much cooler than the city of Mazatlan. There is an ocean breeze daily and great storms when it gets too hot. The room is uniquely decorated with attention to details, such as pretty tiles in the bathroom. Staff is very friendly and there is maid...

“We stayed in the "little yellow house" that was across the street from the main hotel. There is a nice little patio that you can sit out on and hear the ocean. Also, there is a fridge where you can keep a couple beverages if you want!”
