With great fear we arrived at the Sea Garden (6 of us)hoping that they had not given away our condos (we had read that condos were given away due to the hurricane damage to other Mayan resorts). Happily they had not, but the 2 bedroom condos were not condos...more like very small apartments. Funky, musty smell throughout that wouldn't go...

The only place we could find for the week before Christmas. Checking some early reviews had us a bit concerned, but as it turned out the stay was wonderful. We had a ground floor unit next to the pool, the staff was so friendly and accomidating, and the food was far superior to most we had at any other resturants....

I booked our hotel via Expedia on 6 October 2005 for arrival on the Sunday prior to the Thanksgiving (US) holiday (11/20/05). We (my wife and two young kids) had planned for a two week stay at this property, as I had done some research indicating this was a good choice for families, and because they had confirmed our reservation...

The Mayan Sea Garden is like an upscale Holiday Inn. The public spaces are very nice, but the rooms are dated. Since it's a timeshare, and some of the rooms have nicer furnishings than others (and most have just one King bed, and twins and/or sofa beds). Since it is Mexico, many of the rooms have seen smokers. But the...

We made our reservations in June of 05 for the Sea Garden in Mazatlan. We spoke directly to reservationist at the Sea Garden to verify our accomodations. We explained to the reservationist that we had (8) person traveling with us and wanted to be sure that this would not be a problem. We were explained that this was fine as...

If you like rooms that smell smoky, have a musty odor, a long way from town, no jucuzzi, gym that is closed on Sunday, sheets that are nubby, this is the place for you. We viewed 8 rooms to get the least offensive. Our room had no tub, the 2nd bedroom was dark even with the lights on, one room...

Having just returned from the Mayan Sea Garden, spending the week of Thanksgiving there, I thought I would give this review a shot. Having stayed at both Mayan and Grand Mayan, the Mazatlan Sea Garden is definitely neither of those two, but then it never was. The resort was built in 1972 and was the very first resort built by...

Our stay at the Mayan sea Garden was a bit spoiled because a thief got into one of our rooms and stole some personal property. We had our money and passports in the room safe, but did not think about putting our Oakley sunglasses and MP3 player in the safe. While we were at the pool, someone got into our...
