Love this place. It's clean and their staff are fun and full of awesome suggestions. Its within walking distance to all the good stuff in mazatlan, like the beaches, tacos and some of the best seafood I've ever had. Felt more like a friends house than a hostel. Definitely worth staying at if you're in the area and are looking...

The Funky Monkey Hostel delivers more than just a hostel and a place to stay, but an experience. Salem, the owner, and the rest of the staff are incredibly helpful and their adventurous spirits gives the hostel a very unique and positive vibe. They arrange all sorts of activists for whoever wants to join, as we've been out to dinners,...

Funky Monkey is a 2-storey house with 2 kitchens, a big livingroom area, a cute swimming pool and my favorite a lovely rooftop terrace where we...

Fantastic hostel, everything is as it ideally should be. Safe, clean, homey, great location, social, and very friendly staff. The owner Salem took 30 mins to explain the city in the detail, we followed pretty much all the recommendations and had a great time, from food to sightseeing to nightlife. Highly recommended if you are going through Mazatlan!

Fun hostel with great staff, interesting people and an adorable Labrador named Rio. Awesome rooftop to hang out and relax on in the evenings. Only a 10 minutes walk to the beach. Be sure to get the smoothies that can be delivered! Would highly recommend.
