This hotel is awesome for people who want to be in the Historical Center of Mazatlan where you can walk to restuarants, markets and Art Galleries. Although the beach lacks the amenities of the Golden Zone the beach in front of the hotel was fantastic to swim and boogie board. There is also a sea wall pool which is very...

The Hotel Siesta is located at the Olas Altas beach area. When we arrived, we were greeted by Oscar at the front desk. He explained to us some of the activities we could do while in Mazatlan. However, we were tired upon our arrival and he understood that we did not have to sign up for anything, although we did,...

A small budget hotel in a fantastic beachfront location, in the historic center of Mazatlan. The most beautiful sunsets can be seen from the oceanfront balconies. A very simple room which is kept very clean by the wonderful staff. The front desk staff are as equally helpful, and always smiling. There is also a small store in the corner of...

First time to Mazatlan. We got a great deal on a place out of town for 4 days but were planning 10 so we looked at the options. No Golden Zone for us- please! A couple of times I ran across La Siesta listings and wondered, but the price and location sold us -along with the abundance of good reviews...

I’ve stayed at the La Siesta a number of times over the past few years and have found it to be a excellent value. I can’t say enough good things about the people that are employed here, they keep the place spotless and have always been friendly. The hotel has two types of rooms, Garden and Ocean view. I strongly...

We chose La Siesta because of the rate, but we loved it for the location and charm. However, we were only passing through on our way to Guadalajara and it was a pain to get to off the main highway. But waking up in the morning and looking out the balcony window at the beach instantly made it all worthwhile.The...

The view of the ocean is excellent. The location is wonderful. I am so glad I stayed here in downtown rather than the hotel zone. Downtown has such a wonderful laid back charm. EVERYTHING you need is right along the board walk where the hotel is located. The hotel certainly isn't 5 star, but the staff was nice and the...

This is a very good choice if you want to be on the ocean in the old town. Very very close to Plazuela Machado and literally dozens of restaurants, of all types, but mostly Mexican. The hotel is also not too far from the main market and the cathedral, where very cheap Mexican food and taco stands can be found....

I booked three nights at the Hotel La Siesta at the end of November 2008. The La Siesta is a one star or two star place depending on your previous experiences. However, if you are looking for an inexpensive hotel within walking distance of Historic Mazatlan, and want to be ocean-side, this is probably where you should wind up. If...

I recently stayed here for a week and enjoyed it for the most part. They have some of the cheapest ocean view rooms in town. However, it is on a fairly busy road so it can be noisy from 630 am to 11pm. Third floor rooms might be a little quiter than the 2nd floor rooms. The beach across the...
