We stayed recently at the Agua Azul and had a very mixed experience. In fact we have waited awhile to write so that the review wasn't unfair. There are so many positive reviews that it would have felt like we were out of step in...More
This is a much overdue review of our wonderful stay at the Agua Azul in July, 2006. My husband and I (after having to unfortunately cut our first honeymoon short) spent 9 wonderful days at the villa to continue our honeymoon, and it was truly...More
Agua Azul is the best place to escape from the frenetic pace of daily stress - especially during the holiday season when juggling obligations becomes an unpleasant chore. Agua Azul's proprietors, Rick and Brooke have really created a wonderfully relaxed, friendly atmosphere. You truly feel...More
If you want a place to unwind , swim, sunbath, and forget about wherever you came from, this is the place.
Rick and Brooke have put together a package that proves that less is more when it comes to a trully memorable Mexican vacation.
This is a charming and elegant alternative to the hustle and bustle of a large resort. Our room (Pelicano) was large and designed and decorated with care. The view from the private terrazza (and the bed!) was of the ocean, lush gardens and the rising...More
Sorry Sandra i don´t know. I asked my maid and she said to take a bus or van to Pochutla and then take a taxi to San Agostinillo. Across from the Soriana supermarket there is a van service to Pochutla.

In the Arrivals area there is a desk that sells tickets for Chev. Suburban taxis. The "colectivo" shared taxi costs 175 pesos per person and the same vehicle as an "exclusivo" costs 750 pesos for the whole van. Insist on the "colectivo" and tell the driver you are going to Residencial Conejos...Agua Azul la Villa. Most of the drivers are familiar with our Villa but if yours is not then tell him "From the entrance to Residencial Conejos, turn left at the second street and we are at the top of the hill".
An alternative to the “colectivo” is to walk about 2 blocks to exit the airport and directly across the highway. There is a taxi stand there and the cost will be 250 pesos for the taxi.

The current owners of Agua Azul are planning on relocating to another part of Mexico. They have the B & B on the real estate market at the moment but are still taking guests. Maybe they aren't taking anything after Dec 1 in case they sell etc. I don't think they accept pets as they have a dog of their own. Have you tried renting a condo for this time frame or looking at La Crucecita- about a 5-10 min cab ride from Agua Azul.
