From Villa Escondida, you have the most breathtaking views of the crystal clear blue waters and a beach that is never crowded. I'm not sure who the architect is for Villa Escondida. However, the architect clearly thought of absolutely everything. Talk about amazing Feng Shui. Every window allows you an amazing view. The Master Bedroom is an incredible oasis and has a beautiful rooftop terrace. The highlights of this home are too many to mention. Therefore, I will give you a snapshot. Infinity Pool (stunning!), living room area is spacious and beautiful décor, the dining room table has one of the best views in the house and all the rooms were very well decorated. The best part of the house...Delfino! Delfino is the house manager and chef. We only ended up eating out once because his cooking was phenomenal. We are looking at rebooking very soon. We felt very safe as well. 5-Star for sure.

The Villa is gorgeous, beautifully designed and decorated, absolutely fantastic. Villa Excondida has by far exceeded our expectations. It is such a beautiful and magical place where we all felt so peaceful, safe, relaxed, and happy. We loved everything about this place so much that we did not want to leave. We literally enjoyed and looked forward to every meal that was freshly prepared by their friendly staff. EVERYTHING was so delicious and beautifully presented. I cannot wait to go back again to. fall asleep and wake up to the sound of ocean….. Thank you for the incredibly unforgettable vacation, and taking such good care of all of us.

This was one of the best long weekends away, EVER!!! I went with a group of girlfriends for a girls weekend. The home is beautiful. The staff is attentive and caring. Chef Delfino's meals and snacks went above and beyond what we imagined. All meals were fresh, flavorul, and definitely made with love. We enjoyed our time, and the views, in the pool and on the roof top deck. We are all already planning our next trip back but are planning to stay longer!!!

What can I say, from the pictures on the website I was expecting to be wowed by the villa and the holiday as it looked spectacular. Villa Escondida, however, surpassed every expectation I had prior to my trip. From walking through the door where you encounter the wonderful reflecting pool in the hall with vines hanging down, wandering through the comfortable rooms and the spacious living space it really feels like you have booked a little bit of paradise for the two weeks. I loved in particular the deck with the infinity pool overlooking what is pretty much a private beach, just perfect for cooling off in the Mexican sun and chilling out with friends and family. What has really made this villa stand out from other holidays is the amazing welcome - it has been said by many reviews on this website - however want to add that Delfino, Abi, Paulina and Rosa were just fantastic looking after us all. They couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly and they go the extra mile to make sure that you feel at home. The private chef service was incredible - where else can you get a private chef catering 3 meals a day (of your choice) plus drinks for around 300 pesos per person per day! The food was really delicious and fresh and the drinks were great. There are plenty of things to do around the villa - you can chill out on the beach, take a surf lesson, have a mud bath or if you fancy some pampering a twilight massage on the rooftop terrace under the stars. If you do however, want to venture out after all the chilling out, food and sunbathing, the villa’s team can organise for you a range of excursions. Options you can choose from could be releasing baby turtles into the ocean, jet skiing, dolphin watching, paddle boarding, rafting, horse back riding and deep sea fishing to name but a few... Just ask the villa’s team and they were great at advising different options and arranging these for you. Huatulco was recommended by a friend of mine and have always been surprised that more people from the UK haven’t heard about it. It is, I think, one of Mexico’s best kept secrets! Well worth the trip and I shall definitely be booking to come back next year!!! Thank you Villa Escondida for a memorable vacation - it was truly amazing!

I can’t say enough about the best family vacation I had in Huatulco. My family and I come to this amazing beach resort every year but we have always stayed at all Inclusive resorts but this time we decided to rent a VRBO house for the whole family with a private bay and the house came with a personnel Chef and cleaning personnel and I would highly recommend this experience for all families traveling to Huatulco. Chef Delfino was the best International Private Chef we could of ever had and we had the best absolutely the best experience ever!!!! See you next year Huatulco!!

My husband and I, along with 2 other couples visited Villa Escondida for 7 days. It truly was the ultimate dream vacation. Upon arrival we were greeted by all of the staff members, with frozen cocktails for everyone. We were shown around the breath taking villa, and couldn’t believe our eyes. The master suite view is amazing, and waking up to the sights and sounds of the ocean is something we will never forget. 2 of the other 3 rooms have beautiful balcony’s decorated with natural greenery, and great views. The 4th room has two beds, and would be great for kids or single guests! During our stay we were treated better than any 5 star resort we have visited before. The staff were all very personable, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of all week. Our rooms were cleaned every day, and sheets were turned down before bedtime. The Chef/Concierge Delfino was kind, caring and such a wonderful cook. We had the choice to choose our meals, but we decided to let him surprise us with most. They were all delicious, made from fresh ingredients and plenty of food for everyone. His specialty drinks during the day were the best! The staff set up lawn chairs, big bean bag chairs and umbrellas on the beach, when we wanted to spend the day playing in the ocean. We felt very safe here, and enjoyed every day. Our week consisted of, great food, beautiful sunshine, swimming in the private infinity pool, long walks on the beach, swimming & boogie boarding in the ocean, roof top massages under the stars (ask Delfino to arrange), mud baths by Paulina and more! Everything you could ever ask for is here. Great for families, couples or friends! We would highly recommend this location, and we will definitely be returning to Villa Escondida!

Amazing place, unlike any other in Huatulco. Highly recommend taking the chef service from Delphino (although the staff are so much more than cooks). It’s a must if you want the full experience. The beach was way better than the pictures we seen. We walked miles every morning. The staff are beyond expectations and food was whatever you wanted. We walked to secrets and got a day pass, which was a let down, waited for drinks, food line long, beach short and huge slope. If you think that’s 5 star service you need to try a rental with full staff and a chef. If you can afford this place do it. The one person who gave a bad review, well I was embarrassed when I read it. I would love to keep it to ourselves but that wouldn’t be fair. Thanks again to All the staff. You guys are amazing!

After many years traveling and staying throughout Mexico, this is without a doubt one of the best experiences we've had to date. The location of Villa Escondida is simply remarkable. It sits on a beautiful beach, next to an Ecological Preserve and a short ride into Huatulco. The ambience of the home created a tropical relaxation from the moment we arrived. Each of the four bedrooms and full bath offer very comfortable accommodations for sleeping and a bit of private time. The rest of the home creates a relaxing tone inside and outside. One of the primary reasons for our 5 Star review is due to the staff who ensured everything you need, want, and their attention to detail made us feel right at home. Starting with Delfino, and Rosa and Paulina there was not one thing you would not experience from staff in the best of hotels. The staff made us welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The team also provided in home meals: breakfasts, afternoon snacks, and dinners. We simply had to request a meal and pay for any groceries purchased. Then sit down and enjoy the amazing entrees served. I would also add that Cathy, our contact person from the beginning of exploration of this rental until after we left, was amazing. Very knowledgeable and professional. Any question that surfaced (restaurants, travel into the rain forests, car rental vs taxis, etc.) she had the answer. And it was always a prompt reply. Thanks Cathy. In sum, if you are looking for a getaway to simply relax and enjoy a beautiful spot along the southern coast of Mexico, look no further. The small town of Huatulco is minutes away along with several other beach communities each offering a welcoming attitude for visitors. Simply put, we had an amazing week long experience.

It's hard to find the words to describe the pristine, luxurious yet comfortable Villa Escondida. Four of us ventured to Huatulco for 7 days, which were filled with relaxation, adventure, tranquility, pampering and total luxury - yet, still with a feeling of home (a really, really nice home!). The home. We have rented many vacation homes, this is unlike any other. This place is like walking into a dream. From being greeted with a drink as we walked through the beautiful gate. We received a tour of the home and it was clear - not a detail has gone unnoticed here. From the décor, down to the linens and ensuites. The one side of the home, facing the ocean is JUST as depicted in the website. It's ocean and beach views - I never tired of watching the waves and was surprised at how very few people were around and quiet it is. Actually, the entire home is as depicted in their website - a nod to the owners here, as there is no false advertising... It really IS that beautiful, serene and well put together The staff and service. Delfino and the team saw to every need and WANT. We didn't lift a finger all week! From coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice on the deck in the mornings - to pina coladas by the pool, or a bucket of beer on the beach. I have the sincere impression they enjoy what they do - and it is their goal to make sure you are taken care of. I had a 'fresh' room each morning, and my bed turned down each night. You can't beat the service. Also, if we wanted to spend time on the beach - they would set up bean bag chairs, loungers and umbrellas! Again - no need was left unmet. Food. Delfino is a great and diverse cook. Knowing we like mango - he had it prepared each morning as part of breakfast (back to service!). Fresh, local produce was used (best guac and pico!) along with a dose of creativity, we were delighted at every meal... Banana bread french toast, enchiladas, soups at lunch, salads, coconut shrimp, steak... We had ZERO desire to leave the house for a meal, why would we?! Adventure & Experience. Delfino was a great concierge. Hualtulco offers many things to do and La Bocana is a place I felt safe walking around. Daily walks up the beach to the river, watching the fishermen, heading into Copalita and shopping at the market (great ice cream!) We enjoyed roof top massages in the evening... TWICE! Paulina gave us a mud bath in the yard. We also ventured off of the property a few times for some great tours. This place is nothing like my home here in Calgary, but it was so comfortable - it WAS my home away from home... With the added benefit of staff, a chef, the pool and ocean right outside your door. I will never forget this experience, or this home - and look forward to reminding myself of ALL of these great things, when I return! If I can give one tip... Pack light with many bathing suits - you won't be venturing away from this beautiful home very often!

My girlfriends and I just returned from an amazing trip to Huatulco where we stayed at the Villa Escondida for 7 spectacular days. We had 7 days of fantastic weather to truly appreciate this location. The house itself was out of this world and perfectly accommodated our group with room to spare. Each room was well appointed and offered great privacy. I personally very much enjoyed the small touches, including the scented candles on our arrival. The common areas on the house are amazing and offer great views of the ocean. The view was out of this world. Apparently we got to experience a long stretch of beach that isn't very typical for La Bocana beach. We took daily walks along the shore all the way to the river and even hiked the other way along the rocky shoreline to catch a beautiful sunrise. The beach was refreshing and great to be in. The home provides chairs, unbrellas and even bean bag chairs to lounge in by the water, not to mention beverage service as well! The staff; Delfino, Paulina, Rosa, and Alby truly make this location a treat. Every need you have is met by these amazing people who always had a smile for you. My room was ALWAYS clean, no matter how many naps I took to mess it up, and I enjoyed the turn down service every evening. We had the opportunity to get mud baths by Paulina which were wonderful and fun and we indulged in not one but two evening rooftop massages! I had read countless reviews about Delfino's cooking and I wasn't disappointed. We ate EVERY meal there and couldn't wait to see what he would make us. I have been to several resorts in Mexico and Villa Escondida (and Huatulco) offers you a very different kind of experience where you get to truly experience the quiet life away from the touristy attractions. We visited the town market and also had the chance to do a night river float which was really cool. Villa Escondida is a perfect choice to get together with friends or family and really relax and enjoy a quiet place, but also have the choice to do as many activities as you like. The personal touches infused by the owners as well as the staff really do come through and its clear everyone wants you to enjoy your trip. I will always remember this trip and I completely plan to return in the near future!
