Nice oasis right on the Malacon. Very clean, nice staff. No beaches within walking distance. Front desk can make excursion reservations. On site restaurant has good breakfast, but there are better dinner spots close by. We bought groceries and prepared most of our breakfast and lunches in suite

A very nice, clean hotel with a great pool and friendly helpful staff. We liked the location and the restaurant has a great breakfast. We liked everything about this place except the bar tender. He spent all of his time looking at his phone instead of waiting on patrons.

Great stay here while on vacation. A few things could be improved but overall very nice and would stay here again. Stayed in a deluxe suite. Pros: - Good location, close to all the Malecon activity but not too close! - Spacious room with balcony & bay view - Very clean, excellent housekeeping service - Cold air conditioning! - Large bottle of water daily - Nice pool with good chairs - Plenty of kitchen items if you’re going to keep food in the room or prepare a meal Cons: - Extremely firm mattress - No blackout curtains so lot of light in the room at night if you like it dark (as I do) - No room safe for your valuables - Street noise can be loud at times (but nothing like it is closer to the central Malecon area)

friendly and helpful front desk staff. Parking out front for free. It's about a 25 minute walk into to don't have to walk far before you start to reach bars and restaurants, There is not much else in this area. The first room we had #12 was very small and not really suitable for more than a night or two. We then left for a visit up country and then returned for a night in a pool side suite which was large and well equipped. There is a small coffee shop and restaurant on site where we ate breakfast and the menu offered a good selection of both American and Mexican foods.

We spent 3 nights here in one of the two bedroom apartments, towards the back of the resort (so no road noise). This is probably the only hotel I have ever visited where the promotional photos on the internet undersell the hotel. My expectations were exceeded. In particular we liked: 1. The apartment size, plenty of space for 4 people. 2. The price, I thought that it was very good value by Australian and US standards. 3. The grounds of the hotel, beautiful well-kept gardens. 4. The adjoining bakery/café/restaurant which serves delicious food at, again, very reasonable prices. Apart from the need to improve the promotional photos on the internet I can’t really fault the place.

Wanted place not so "middle of everything " Located at end of Malecon and this was perfect. Started every morning with a 1.5 mile walk down the Malecon and back with all the locals. Felt very safe and beautiful oceanview. Big suite with king bed Downside for non Spanish speakers is no TV in English but we survived. Beautiful grounds and pool area. I would stay here again.

I loved everything about Hotel El Moro: it's stylish and newly-renovated with old-world charm; fountains and beautiful tiling; comfortable, safe and clean. The waterfront view and sunsets from our balcony were worth the price of admission! The salt-water pool was refreshing and often empty. I liked that we could walk along the Malecón (promenade) to downtown in less than 15 minutes. We rented bikes and rode to lovely nearby beaches Coromuel and Caimancito a few miles away. Vrentino Restaurant and bakery next door was the bonus prize. Breakfast, lunch & dinner were delicious with many veggie options. I'll be back!

We stayed in room 502- which looked out on the water and the Malecon. The big walkway or Malecon can be very busy at times and noisy but the location was good for us. We enjoyed looking out and seeing what is going on. Even though busy with people there is all kinds on birds and wildlife right there on the beach. We also could look straight down and see our rental car. The room was quite large, a king bed and another bed next to it for laying stuff out. A separate bathroom and door, a kitchen and large living room with two couches and a chair, AND a deck with table and chairs. The suite was just very comfortable for me. I would have liked a microwave and a room safe my only grips. The staff and people were great, they arranged the covid test person to come right in our room, two hours later the printed out results were at the front desk. I saved the best for last the restaurant was great. It had breakfast, lunch and dinner and a bakery! Was just really happy with the food, the prices and the service.

Our two-bedroom suite is larger than my first apartment. Lots of storage, patios and a full kitchen. The grounds are lovely. This was a great choice for me and my family. Plenty of room to spread out and a cozy living/dining room area for together time. Would definitely stay here again.

Love- room, views, location. Female receptionist Amazing! Male afternoon receptionist had attitude not personable. Pool has weird color because of the poor choice of floor color its not contaminated. Ricardo the waiter in the restaurant was very attentive, had many recommendations and personable. Reserve your table if you want to eat outside the terrace of the restaurant.
