Michael and I had a great time on our first adventure to La Paz. We frequent Cabo every few years, but were enticed to travel north to experience a more relaxed and cultural escape for the second half of our vacation. El Angel Azul was recommended to us and what a wonderful experience we had with our gracious host Esther,...

El Angel Azul is a gem in the city of La Paz. It is centrally located, close to all of the city amenities, very convenient. More importantly, it really is an oasis in the city. The rooms are unique, with bright and interesting colors and details; they are comfortable and very clean. The kitchen, open to everyone, is large and...

I spent 6 nights with my father in this beautiful hacienda. The court yard is absolutely amazing and invites one to read a book and chill, the rooms are nice and clean and the staff very friendly. Oh, and the internet is fantastic! El Angel is nicely located in walking distance to a lot of restaurants and the malecon. Esther...

El Angel Azul is located in the center of old La Paz, two blocks away from the central square and cathedral. The location is convenient to the Malecon, the center of La Paz nightlife, its bayfront promenade, and to Calle Madero, downtown's restaurant row. A simple blue door opens into a vestibule and modest lobby/living room. Guests have their own...

This is a hotel with heart and soul. The courtyard, the cafe, the kitchen and the rooms are all like little works of art. Every time I walked through one of these spaces I saw something new and wonderful that I hadn't noticed before. Esther was very welcoming and helped us find great restaurants and a wonderful tour company for...

Our party of nine stayed at en Angel Azul for weekends pre and post a sail charter, and can't say enough good things about Esther, her team, and our stay there. The location is super for exploring central La Paz, and the ambience of the place is charming, interesting, comfortable, and completely in sync with the warm and laid back...

We just spent four nights at El Angel Azul. What everyone else said....ditto. We hope to come back to LaPaz and based on what we have seen and heard, we will stay at The Blue Angel. Open honor system bar. Well equipped kitchen. We had an iPad so we could stream movies or listen to favorite radio stations or CBS...

This is a very lovely, pleasant place to stay. Esther is an exceptional hostess, just wonderful, and her staff couldn’t be better. Rooms are simple and charming, with local decorative touches, and all have air conditioning. The central courtyard is a splendid place to start your day with a morning cup of coffee or tea already made in the large,...

My boyfriend and I stayed at El Angel Azul for 5 nights. It was a really lovely place to stay - clean and big rooms (all en suite I think), and a lovely big kitchen / eating area to enjoy your own breakfasts. The garden was really pretty - a haven of cactus and hummingbirds and two fun dogs. La...

I stayed at El Angel Azul for 3 weeks and it was the highlight of my stay in Mexico. As a middle aged woman travelling on my own, El Angel Azul was a safe haven for me. It was walking distance from delightful restaurants, Nim and Las Tres Virgines, to name just two and the Malecon is a five minute...
