We LOVED El Angel Azul....its is beautiful, peaceful and lovely...the rooms are so pretty as is the main area. Most importantly, Esther and her pups, Flaca and Mancha couldn't be more wonderful. The only down side is that we only spent two short nights there as you just never want to leave...we cant wait to return!

We spent seven nights at Esther's delightful small hotel in February. The decor is authentic, with very comfortable rooms and beds. For us, the highlight was the interior courtyard with plenty of shady places for guests to relax. She has filled it with charming seating spaces, flowering plants and local art. We enjoyed preparing a few of our meals in...

We rented the suite with warm, charming furnishings and a large, private outdoor area. Esther made us feel at home in her beautiful garden hotel and was always available to provide gracious advice on how best to enjoy La Paz. Central location within easy walking distance of major sites, the malecon and excellent restaurants/cafes.

We had a lovely stay here. It is in a great location, and when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city of an afternoon the lovely courtyard is a great place to relax, read a book, and watch the hummingbirds.

If you want to stay in a quiet place surrounded by the most wonderful garden and be in the middle of a city you have found your place! Wonderfully designed rooms and it is so relaxing to sit outside your room, we never expected to find this lovely and relaxing place after the thick walls!

If you want to stay in a place that has the ambiance of Mexico, with the ease of an English (and German) speaking host, central to the things that matter--taxi, bus, restaurants, seaside- and also protected and tranquil inside the courtyard into which all the rooms open, then this is the place. If you want glitzy hotel amenities, this is...

This tranquil haven served as an oasis when I first visited in July. In February, it served as my sanctuary. El Angel Azul has none of the trappings of a fast paced, busy hotel. Instead, it preserves what I love about La Paz...an authentic Baja experience. Esther, the proprietor, and her staff are welcoming and helpful. The location offers a...

Beautiful, quiet, comfortable bed, good shower, great kitchen, reasonably priced, relaxing; Esther runs this beautiful small and private Semi-BB. I say semi as it has a fully stocked kitchen, you get your own fridge, all the utensils, honor bar, but the cooking is up to you. This is perfect for Baja as having to get up for a set time...
