Beautiful, quiet, comfortable bed, good shower, great kitchen, reasonably priced, relaxing; Esther runs this beautiful small and private Semi-BB. I say semi as it has a fully stocked kitchen, you get your own fridge, all the utensils, honor bar, but the cooking is up to you. This is perfect for Baja as having to get up for a set time...

Walking into the courtyard is a lovely introduction to the Angel Azul; birds chirping in the trees, a fountain trickling and comfortable seats everywhere. The Hacienda is a beautiful, easy, comfortable place to stay. A slow, relaxed coffee hour in the courtyard in the morning was a reminder of how pleasant vacation is. The room was clean and comfortably furnished---including...

The ancient building has been maintained and renovated with the utmost care and precession in detail. Guests of the suite get the luxury to witness the sunset from their private terrace and listen to the blissful sounds of water trickling from the fountain in the courtyard. Much to our surprise La Paz is a small and friendly seaside city considering...

This was my second visit. El Angel Azul is an oasis and I recommend it wholeheartedly. We especially enjoyed drinking our morning coffee in the serene, beautifully appointed interior courtyard waiting for Manchita and Flaca, the owner's sweet dogs, to appear. Esther and her staff are friendly and helpful. This historic gem of a place is not to be missed!

Excellent location in a quiet neighbourhood , very closed to the TOP restaurants in LaPaz and very closed to the sea-front too. Nice rooms and a beautiful old very well restored house (old court house) . Peaceful and charming garden . Very friendly owner who can give you all the tips you need. Also a library and a shop (women...

I had the fortunate opportunity to stay at El Angel Azul for 2+ months. I loved it all - from the Old World charm, and clean comfortable rooms, to the friendly and helpful staff, the aesthetic courtyard and delightful owner. It even has a fabulous consignment shop as well as the only English bookstore in town. I couldn't have asked...

El Angel Azul is an oasis of tranquility under the blazing sun of La Paz. This historic hacienda has no pretense or tourist vibe. Rather, the owner/operator has created an authentic space for travelers interested in immersing themselves in the environment, regardless of the length of stay. Esther and the staff are helpful and very kind. I felt like I...
