Close to the Malecon, restaurants, old downtown. Best spot for La Paz remarkable sunsets. The owners are really kind and obliging. Breakfast is served in the rooftop terrace, great way to start your day.

there was limited lodging due to the Easter weekend when we visited, and i chose las Gaviotas because of the review by AKMary from Alaska (see below Feb 2017) we are a couple with a child (10yo) and we felt welcome and comfortable in this apt. If something did not work it was quickly fixed. the breakfast on the roof...

Wonderful well located hotel with great hosts. Large rooms with views of the bay. The breakfasts were excellent, and you dine on the rooftop with views of the bay. The owners live on the property and always available to provide guidance and advice on what to do and where to eat in La Paz.

Just visited and found the location to be great. Close to everything but nice and quiet. Very spacious rooms and the service was exceptional If I visit La Paz again I will definitely stay here. Keep in mind this is not an overly polished tourist town which in my opinion is a good thing.

This is our fourth or fifth visit at Las Gaviotas with Gail and Chelo. Again the experience was amazing, thank you so much for your hospitality, sharing your stories, sharing your time with us. We booked this hotel because we were traveling with our 2 teenage kids and needed space. This place was perfect for that! We had 2 spacious bedrooms, a full kitchen, living room and large patio overlooking the sea. It's really more of an apartment or Condo. They served a good breakfast each morning by the pool, which was always pleasant....

Clean, breezy, comfortable suite with views of the Malacon and bay. Delicious, generous breakfast w piping hot Mexican huevos, beans, toast, yogurt, and fresh papaya. Knowledgeable, cordial hosts with an obvious passion for the town, sea, local attractions, and regional landscape. Couldn't have had a better perch for the glittering Mardi Gras parade, sunset cocktails, and people watching. Hope to...

Stayed in room 2A. Nice sized suite for a party of five, in two bedrooms and futon in living room. Kitchen was well stocked. View from balcony, with margaritas was the best. Staff was outstanding, including security, breakfast staff, maintenance, maids, and especially Chalo and Linda, the owners. Yes, sometimes outside noise was heard late at night, but that can...

Work on my boat in La Paz force me off of it for ten days in February. During that time my brother and a friend were also visiting. We found Las Gaviotas and never looked back. The accommodations are excellent. Great views from the ample balconies and from the roof-top terrace. Our two bedroom suite was well equipped and very...

The review is given 5 points for the combination of the property location and the helpfulness of the staff. If this hotel was rated in the more strict European star system, it would be a 3-star hotel with a 5 star staff. This hotel is one block from the Malecon (pedestrian walkway on the water front). 12 minutes to the...
