Clean, breezy, comfortable suite with views of the Malacon and bay. Delicious, generous breakfast w piping hot Mexican huevos, beans, toast, yogurt, and fresh papaya. Knowledgeable, cordial hosts with an obvious passion for the town, sea, local attractions, and regional landscape. Couldn't have had a better perch for the glittering Mardi Gras parade, sunset cocktails, and people watching. Hope to...

Stayed in room 2A. Nice sized suite for a party of five, in two bedrooms and futon in living room. Kitchen was well stocked. View from balcony, with margaritas was the best. Staff was outstanding, including security, breakfast staff, maintenance, maids, and especially Chalo and Linda, the owners. Yes, sometimes outside noise was heard late at night, but that can...

Work on my boat in La Paz force me off of it for ten days in February. During that time my brother and a friend were also visiting. We found Las Gaviotas and never looked back. The accommodations are excellent. Great views from the ample balconies and from the roof-top terrace. Our two bedroom suite was well equipped and very...

The review is given 5 points for the combination of the property location and the helpfulness of the staff. If this hotel was rated in the more strict European star system, it would be a 3-star hotel with a 5 star staff. This hotel is one block from the Malecon (pedestrian walkway on the water front). 12 minutes to the...

Location? The best. Las Gaviotas is out of the mainstream but close to all of the action. I can easily walk to restaurants, bars, the farmers market, grocery & liquor stores, the main Plaza, etc. And it's just 1 block off the malecon. If you're familiar with La Paz, it's one block up behind Tailhunters. Amenities and Views? Rooms are...

Can't say enough great things about this place. I was here for 7 days in La Paz and enjoyed every minute. Hosts Linda and Chalo are wonderful, friendly people who take pride in their hotel and the personal touch it offers. They can point you to a lot of interesting places and things to do in the city -- ask...

We stayed here for the second time and enjoyed it again. This is more like a condo than a hotel room, with a kitchen, living room, dining area, two bathrooms and two bedrooms, and a huge balcony overlooking the bay, all for $170 USD per night. The place is clean, beds are comfortable and the included breakfast by the pool...

I was pleased to celebrate the New Year with family and friends from all over the US at LA's Gaviotas resort. The accomdations were very spacious and well equipped. We had ample room to entertain a group of 12 with a catered dinner on New Year's Eve and enjoyed the sunset views nightly from our large patio and the stunning...

Linda and Chalo, the lovely hosts of this establishment, were without exaggeration two of the warmest, most helpful, and wonderful people we have encountered in our travels to Mexico. The rooms at Las Gaviotas are outstanding: spacious, lovely and even delightfully decorated. We were on the top floor, and had incredible views of the sunset from our patio. Breakfast is...

We had a wonderful stay at the Gaviotas. It is close within walking distance to the ocean, restaurants, stores, tour operators and bus station. The owners were so helpful in recommending activities, arranging transportation and all with a delicious breakfast each morning. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip back.
