We were riding roughly 300 miles along the Baja coast and stopped here one evening. We arrived just before sunset and the mountains were gorgeous with the moon rising on the other side! We rented the big cabin to accommodate all the riders. We hit the pool for a few minutes before the dinner bell rang... the ladies at Melings...

We arrived without reservation and were happy to find that they could accommodate us. In fact, we were the only ones there other than family members that arrived from CA the next day. Being that we visited in late December, it was cold, but they have a wood stove in the room and a box of wood for each room...

I stayed two nights here in September, as part of a visit to San Pedro Martir National Park and the observatory. Meling is an authentic Western ranch with comfortable rooms, good basic meals, a nice swimming pool, and _absolute quiet_ at night. I'd come back for the last reason alone. US$60/night is expensive (plus $6 breakfast and $11 dinner), but...

We arrived on Saturday before Easter on our bikes enroute from La Paz back home to Salinas. It was a long ride and my partner was pretty done in. Fortunately they had a room available (may have had more than one) and we could relax. We opted for all meals. Food was down home (good) and plentiful and even though...

I have been passing by Rancho Meling for 40 years going to the mountains. Along with my family we decided to take a break fro the beach and stay at the ranch. A simple phone call on their Mexican line got me in contact with English speaking Sandy who was able to tell us room rates availability and payment types....

Meling Ranch is by far a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors. It's a hidden gem. Initially we were going to camp out for two nights but we loved it so much that we stayed longer. We were three families with young children. The kids had a BLAST! They loved playing in the swimming pool, volley ball, hiking with the...
