Me and my friend we have stayed in the above property for 3 nights. The room was spacious, clean and had a balcony. I had to 'borrow' toilet paper and towels from housekeeping trolley as they weren't replaced during our stay but one day got back to our room from the trip and noticed they were removed. Not impressive at all! Wifi was very bad as it only worked in the reception/lobby area which was full of mosquitos and I was bitten like hell! Breakfast was good but quite pricey and apparently they served noodle dishes as well among other typical breakfast items.... A/C worked well, sometimes too much and we couldn't control it properly and we had to sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and switch it off as it was way too cold in the room. Because we were leaving later in the afternoon we could keep our luggage stored behind the reception area for free which was a good gesture. The reception/front of house manager (can't remember his name but he started his job recently) was nice, friendly and helpful.…
As 3 friends travelling in all Asia for month we have never been in such a bad place. The staff is so rude, aggressif. Thy did not even welcomed us, they asked directly for the money. When we said we had to go to the ATM they became so aggressive and blackmailed telling us we will not have our passeport back until we paid. We were so chocked by this attitude after 5 min . After 15 min struggling to speak with them because their English is level zero... we got our passport back and left this **** place . It is far from everything in Aonang, and full of mosquitoes. You will find way better and cheaper place somewhere else
I will not go into much details about the rooms, as they where ok, not the best during our visit, but ok, but when we came to reception to ask for some help, they made their best to feel us miserable. Not very happy to explain how the ancient conditioner works in the room or how to seal the windows, but when we asked about internet, they just said that it is not working in the room, balcony only. When I asked to refund our money to move to other hotel, they said no, it is not their problem.
Breakfast was not to my liking. The WiFi only works in the lobby not in the rooms which would have been more helpful. The room was clean and very large the the cleaning staff were great brought my clothes in off the balcony when it rained and I was at the beach. Oh and the pools were very nice the water was clear and you can use the next doors pool as well. The rooms have that old world charm I like that a lot.
They should remove Success n Beach n Resort from their name as it is nothing remotely close. The place is like a roadside motel. They have a handful staff, discourteous... no lifts, shabby stinky dusty rooms, loads of mosquitoes, lizards crawling all over. We checked in n checked out immediately. It was a nightmare. Couldn’t imagine such a hotel existed on this planet. Yuck!!!
just 2 minutes walk from nopparat thara beach, and 12-15 minutes walk from very beautiful aonang beach.Location is the best. It has huge premises with big rooms and big washroom.. the hotel looks like traditional thai style royal structure.Very close to shopping, restaurants though giving ample space for peace. Rooms are pool view and pool access. The pools are huge to enjoy . The staff are welcoming and helping and always smile face which made our stay more comfortable.Good breakfast!
Stayed here with my family , rooms great and had pool view , hotel is spectacular from the pool areas . The place is deserted during the day , you literally have the entire pool to yourself but there is a non functioning pool bar which is a shame . This hotel does not cater for Europeans , it's a stop off hotel for Chinese , thousands of them !! They flock to the pool side from 6 am taking selfies of themselves , eat breakfast then get on a coach for an excursion and return late at night and repeat the selfie process ! Very very strange . Breakfast is poor and the hotel is not close to all the night life in Aonang , u need to get a Tuk Tuk for about 10 mins to teach it . Beach isn't great either .
We stayed here for two nights. Hotel felt empty no staff apart from the person on the desk. As the last review stated it is a hotel from another era. First night went to bed around 11:30pm. Then woken suddenly by what sounded like new arrivals. This was around 1:30am for some reason they did not settle down until around 3:00am. Breakfast the next day well. The best thing was the toast machine. We are well travelled people and have eaten in some interesting places. I would not eat at this hotel ever. The hotel is clearly geared for a large Chinese tourist market. Good luck to them in the future We ended up staying in a lesser rated hotel in the town. As it is a fair walk.
Feels like a resort from another era. Has a somewhat abandoned feel. A 5 minute walk to the beach and shops/bars along the road but getting to the main areas takes about 15 minute walk (or quick ride). I'd suggest they make bike rentals part of the stay. Biggest downer was the unreliable wifi. Had to go to cafes a few times to get internet. Looked like a number of European families were staying there. Also breakfast was a decent spread of hot items.
I stayed here during the peak season. The hotel architecture is beautiful. Staff is hospitable and friendly, room is spacious and clean. The hotel is a little away from the main city, but the beach is just minutes away!!. Do keep in mind that there are two hotels situated in the same campus and the breakfast buffet for both is offered at a common restaurant for both..so the restaurant area can get crowded..but the food is good. Also the wifi is free but i think its only available at the reception area. Had a great time and would recommend it definitely.
