We had cereal, rice with shrimp, and spring rolls for lunch on our visit to Number 1. It was great. The food was spicy but not too spicy, the staff was very nice, and my daughter enjoyed her cereal very much. It was affordable and I would suggest it for anyone with a family.

Short walk to the bars, restaurants and the beach (10-15 min to the beach). They cleaned our room every day, changed our towels. We got a quiet room like we desired on our booking, so it was quiet for sleeping. Nice bathroom with a bathtub. Downsides: hotel policy of taking off shoes before entering the facilities. A bit old furniture.... More

One of the best stay we had in all of Thailand. We were welcomed immediately by the owner, who kindly helped take my huge backpack the two floors up. He was extremely attentive, and I am sure if he had had more hands, he would've taken my boyfriends backpack too! We were pleasantly surprised when the owner opened the door... More

We have stayed with Winyou at Number 1 guesthouse for the past few years when we go to Krabi and each time has been a great experience. However, when I was emailing through my booking this year to Winyou, I was asked to forward it to a new email address. When we arrived, we found new staff at the reception.... More

I met Gang, the owner, five years ago when I was staying elsewhere in Ao Nang. The place was just being finished. I went back in mid August this year for six weeks and stayed at Number 1 out of choice. All the staff are super friendly and will go out of their way to help. I now consider Gang... More

The rooms here are massive, the biggest we have had in Thailand. We extended our stay to 7 days and stayed again a few weeks later. Slightly away from the beach which is 10 minute walk, but right near good restaurants and bars, it's a good place to stay for the money.

We have stayed here twice now and really rate this hotel. It's excellent value for what you get. Nice big rooms, air con, comfy bed and toiletries in a modern hotel. I would have expected to pay much more than i did to stay here. It's the best value hotel we found that's this close to the beach. It's still... More
