Stayed for 2 nights and it was comfortable. Good location and clean rooms. Did not try the food as we went out on excursions both days. Fantastic trip to Karabi. Thank you Red Ginger for making us comfortable.
We stayed for two nights from 20-22nd Jan. Room was big with a balcony ( ours was not a pool facing room but it faced the ally behind the hotel overlooking apple a day hotel). Sink area is outside the washroom. Bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan which may make the room smelly after use. Was offered welcome drink, complimentary snacks and fruits on check-in. Allowed to check-in 1.5hour before scheduled time. Liked the fact it is a green hotel....They don't provide toothbrush and paste. They have complimentary beach basket, sun mats and can also take extra towels. Breakfast was included in our stay...Loads of options both Western and Asian , though a bit repetitive if staying for long. Loved the egg station and the waffle station. Staff is courteous, can speak English. Hotel is 15mins to ao nang beach left hand out of the lane, we ate outside every night. Night market is just 5 mins away. The other nophrat beach is on the right out of the lane but it's quite muddy and dirty, won't recommend visiting. Hotel is in a quiet lane. Pool was really nice and since we went in the evening( think it is open till 7:30 or so) so wasnt too busy. Has a pool bar but never tried. Worse thing is the Wi-Fi. Connectivity is extremely poor be it in the room or breakfast area or lobby......…
We stayed in a pool view room which was very spacious. Water for both complimentary every day, breakfast was good. Room service was excellent, pool nice and quite warm too which was a bonus. I would definitely use this hotel again and am looking forward to our next visit.
First time in Thailand but not THE last. Stayed att red ginger for 2 weeks and we Loved Every minute of it. Personal super friendly, breakfast superb. We är coming back and thanks for Making our holiday.
it was a nice place to stay the staff very nice and polite, good food in the restaurant, the room very big and clean nice bed and comfortable, however they have to update the room and airconditions, overall very good hotel.
We spent 4 nights at Red Ginger On paper it looks much nicer than it is Positives Good reception friendly staff Room big very clean and lovely decor Excellent breakfast Negatives Not a great pool for sunbathing if you are looking for wall to wall sunshine a lot of shade and minimal Sunbeds Swim up bar cocktails are awful And we got charged £12 for a large wine at the bar ! The rooms are lovely as mentioned but way too dark ! Would I return ? Probably not
Stayed for a week in the pool access room and it was fantastic. Breakfast was good with plenty to chose from. All the staff were lovely. Location is fantastic too plenty restaurants outside, night market at the end of the street with plenty of street food options and easy walk to the beaches
Dont go here!!! They speak barely English in the reception. Everything is closed after nine oclock. You cant use the pool after seven. The restaurant is closed at nine. The cleaning is bad you dont get any soap or towels. TERRIBLE Hotel!!!
Hotel still quirky but in places getting a little tired.Great green credentials tries really hard to be green sometimes apears a little stingy with tea coffee and tolletries, but more supplies available on request.Good breakfast and can’t fault the staff. Now have a stiff jaw from returning the smiles.Excellent location some 15mins walk from Au Nang beach and town center helps reduce the effect of all the fantastic food, and of course the Singha Would not stay anywhere else in Au Nang
Came for a girlfriends trip, 3 young late 40 year old women. We have a room with a loft on the opposite side of the pool. Hotel oldish but clean in lobby. Pool salt water, bubbling pool but not heated. Gym in odd location next to pool in enclosed glass room with no ventilation and very cheap treadmills. Beds in the room were the hardest I have ever sleep on anywhere. (I have slept on cots in India as reference). Water pressure was inconsistent and within each shower would alternate between cold to too hot water. Hotel pushes you to turn in key to front desk on leaving room. So room is hot on return as all electricity is turned off so phones can’t be charged. Front desk is consistently rude and no one speaks good English so communication was hard hotel was not helpful. On arrival they present 20% meals and also free drink coupons. However in their poor communication they don’t tell you it can only use it if you present it before ordering drink. Internet was weak in the room if it worked at all. The computer they have in the lobby is very old and takes about 15 minutes to load. Only use if urgent. Breakfast was the only decent part of our stay. We would not recommend staying here. …
