Nice place, neat and clean good food near by airport hardly 10 minutes away. Uber charges 500 Srilankan rupees till destination fish was awesome very tasty. It’s better to take Uber than local cab. Worth & very economical hotel. I paid 26 usd including taxes
We honestly only stayed here because it was close to the airport and to a train station. Having missed our connection from Colombo we ended up getting a taxi there instead. The road it is on looks a bit sketchy but this was really a great place to stay. Friendly staff, clean room and a good shower, a stone's throw from the airport, and thankfully a kitchen which was open until 9pm. We even managed to watch Spurs v Fulham in our room! If I ever have an early morning or a late night flight in or out of Colombo airport I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
It was the very first day at this hotel of our Srilanka trip. We were promised for 3 & 4 star hotel and room for our entire trip. As we reached the owner downgraded our rooms some small room. Near to kitchen area in ground floor saying all the rooms have been booked and apologized for in convenience and impossible to arrange any other room. My husband immediately called the holiday group and informed its not acceptable and we are unhappy with this. After few mins, the hotel owner arranged a deluxe room, which he previously said its impossible :/. Beware of such hotel owner. Apart from that initial trouble. The deluxe room was good for the stay
I emailed the hotel before my arrival but I never got a response. The room I was given had very bad water damages and other tinier things to repair. Their internet didn't work at all. I tried to call the reception, but their phone wasn't working either. The guy at the reception had disappeared when I tried to ask his help and no one picked up their phone. I arrived late at night and it was raining, so I didn't want to change the hotel anymore. I asked for a discount in the morning because of this and I was told they will call a tourist police if I don't pay the full amount. I was in a hurry to catch my flight and didn't have the time to argue so I just had to pay. Their service is unbelievably bad and the room was even worse.
This is a transit hotel just 10 minutes away from the airport and honestly it is SO nice that we wished we had more days here but of course there's nothing to see around. It is perfect for a good day.night rest before traveling again. * The rooms are extremely big with a balcony. * The food was so yummy and in fact the first good meal we had in days was at Neo Holiday Home. (we are vegetarians) * The receptionist - Moses was his name - was very very helpful and efficient. In fact our flight back to India was in the morning and we had to leave by 3:15 am and he was ready to help us even at that time. Not to forget that the airport shuttle is free.
I booked this hotel because of the free airport shuttle. However, this hotel was a bad choice because I didn't even had the chance to sleep here: I made the reservation more than 24 hours before arrival included with my flight details. After a long flight I arrived at CMB airport and sent the hotel a text message to get a confirmation of my airport pick-up. However, there was no driver to pick me up. I called the hotel a couple times and the hotel guy on the phone told me that he was going to send a driver and that I had to wait a few more minutes. After a long time waiting, I called the hotel again to ask where my driver was. The hotel guy told me that there was no taxi available, so he couldn't help me with the transfer. I arranged my own tuktuk to the hotel and when I arrived at the hotel I thought that I could finally sleep (it was 01:30 AM). Unfortunately that was not possible yet, because the hotel guy told me, after arriving at the hotel, that there were no rooms available due to some problems! First of all, why was the room available on Booking.com? Why did I not get a response after my reservation that there were no rooms? Why did he not send a taxi or immediately told me that he couldn't arrange one so I didn't had to wait for almost one hour at the airport? Why did the guy not inform me that there were no rooms available when I was calling for the transport? At the end he arranged a room at a hotel next door where I had to wait for half an hour before the room was ready. …
A quite new, small hotel near the airport. Was quite cheaply priced, with breakfast $US5 extra. We were picked up from the airport late at night without any dramas, quickly checked into our room so we could go to sleep. Good traditional English fry up for breakfast each morning. Hotel was clean and quiet, down a side street off a main road. It is only a 50 meter walk for the nearest railway station called Liyanagemulla, making it convenient to get into Colombo. The trip cost 20 cents each, one way for a 1 hour journey. Hotels in Colombo are very expensive so staying out of the city centre and using the train was an economical choice for us. Nothing negative about our stay here. When it was time to check out, two male hotel employees helped us carry our bags to Liyanagemulla railway station for our trip to Colombo Fort Station. It is a good choice for a transit hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend and would stay ourselves again in the future.…
We chose this hotel as it was located reasonably close to the airport. Our flight was scheduled to arrive into Colombo at around 11pm - however after a delay in flights we ended up arriving closer to 1am. The Neo is only about 10-15 minutes from the airport. The room was clean and tidy and exactly what we needed after a 16 hour flight. It is also very confidently located to the railway line that runs into Colombo which takes about an hour. (Just make sure you get on the train heading in the right direction . . .) The Neo Holiday Home isn’t somewhere you would want to linger over but as a transit or quick stopover it’s great.
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights before being picked up for the start of a tour. The hotel was minutes from the airport which was ideal for us and close to Negombo which one of the staff kindly took us to. Moses was the member of staff who looked after us and was extremely accommodating. The room was perfect for what we needed and was clean and comfy. We had a small balcony but as we were on the corner there was no room to sit out. The only minor thing was we had no hot water one day but it didn't really matter in the 30 degree heat
It was a very good experience to stay one night before the flight from sri lanka at the hotel. The staff is great, the price is not high, and they arrange you a texi to the airaport for 1000 rls. We ate a dinner at the hotel, the food was good, big portions and cheap. Totally worth staying!!!
