I just needed to get away for a night and this place served that purpose. Good clean room with a nice view, a little small, but it had all I needed. Short 1 min drive or 5 min walk from Waiwera hot pools and 5 min drive from Orewa. The building itself is a bit run down, and there are...

We stayed in a studio unit. There was no table to eat off despite there being a full kitchen! Had to eat of our laps. There were only 5 TV channels, 1 only Sky channel which was Sky Sports. The shower had mold all around the join and the bathroom floor was sticky on our bare feet. There were empty...

This place was unexpectedly really good, fully functional rooms with everything you need, great location you can walk to the pools, comfortable nice to have a kitchen and table. Could hear the neighboring room partying which was probably the only bad thing. Really glad we stayed there, great value.

We stayed 2 nights in January 2013. It was good value and we found the staff helpful and the Rooms perfectly fine and the facilties perfectly good. We do not agree with some other recent negative reviews which we think sadly lack balance. Clearly owners and management have put significant funds and effort into the property and deserve balanced views....

We managed to book two nights in November 2012 for new years eve - yay! We read the reviews and thought "oh no", but were in fact pleasently surprised as we have stayed in many motels. The rooms were modern with slight ware and tear. The out look and pool were great with room for the kids. Ocean on front...

My family and I stayed here and found it extremely disappointing. The worst aspect was the manager's attitude, which obviously had rammifications in terms of the service and the way the place was run, or run down in this case. The carpets were filthy and stained. the coach broken, the drawers broken, the beds uncomfortable, the oven not working properly,...

The place is by no means flash, however it was very clean, the staff were extremely helpful and the location was good. Complimentary tea and coffee as well as milk was provided. There was a small outside swimming pool which was ok, if not a little grubby. The motel provided discount vouchers for the nearby thermal pools ( $11 entry...

I wanted to spend a weekend at the Waiwera Pools with my two children, and thought this motel would be good, as it was nearby, it turned out to be a nightmare stay. The rooms were dirty, run down, with all manner of things broken in them. The place smelled. The manager was extremely rude, and seemed to want to...

The motel still has broken furniture, we looked at three rooms and they were all quite damaged. The manager was unhelpful and rude. The spa wasnt working. There was no internet. I would not reccomend anyone stay here.
