Door to bathroom does not close, no screen on a window, one window doesnt close, very musty smell as room is in basement, very dusty, hair on toilet seat…dangerous rotted wood around house and outside, so very dangerous to adventure around…….ewwww…..gave one star for the view……
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 days on holiday during the winter and were pleasantly surprised by this B&B. The view from our window over Lake Megantic was unbeatable and the owners installed a wooden staircase going straight down to the water (direct access from the house). Although the property is on a road, nights were quiet and we weren't disturbed by any cars. The hosts were kind and generous, and the breakfast plate was a delicious selection of local fruits and homemade treats.
We're always searching for that special little place hidden away off the beaten track. Sometimes (often) it's less than perfect and we feel it would be easier just to settle for the safety of a chain hotel. But, then we come across a place like Cote - Lac and a hostess like Catherine and it all suddenly feels worth the effort. Charming, quirky and every item of food home made. Just the way it should be. Perfect! Thank you catherine.
Catherine and Yves are wonderful hosts! My boyfriends and I stayed there for 2 nights and had a wonderful time! Delicious breakfast, gorgeous lake and view! We felt just like at home! Sang some songs by the fire at night with a guitar and the stars! I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast! Un endroit sans prétentions où on se sent comme chez soit et où il ferra plaisir de revenir! Merci pour votre bel accueil! Mariana et Braulio
We had a lovely stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. The home is right on Lac Megantic. The view was amazing. My husband and I stayed in one of the upstairs room with a huge bed and new cedar-walled bathroom. My mother and son stayed in the suite on the bottom floor. The windows opened to the lake. Spectacular morning views. Our hostess was super friendly. She graciously loaned us coats and blankets for our evening at Mont Megantic Observatory. Her breakfast was just incredible. My mom liked the rhubarb jam so much we had to buy a jar for her to take home! Everyone should stay here!
