Staff were great, food was pub grub with the breakfast being the beat part of the stay. Would have been 4 stars but a barrel delivery from 06:30 to 7:00 where every barrel off loaded shock through the bed made it a solid 3 stars...

Nice welcome, room ok... no problem. Warm comfy The bar area is nice with a restaurant option if required. ( I sat in the bar) Whitebait were great.., with tartar sauce bread I would have taken the hot wings but apparently they are two days worth hot .... maybe a challenge for another visit. Nice pub, nice staff, nice food...

Stayed here for a business trip. Staff nice and friendly. Room was a little dull and the single bed uncomfortable. Food was fine but nothing special, breakfast was good. Seemed to be popular with locals and had regular guests. In need of a bit of an update, especially the carpets and paintwork

The red lion is a pleasant inn, with friendly staff and well cooked food, though menu limited. Whilst our bedroom was clean and adequate, and was sited conveniently on the ground floor, it could have done with a facelift. The TV remote only partially worked, which meant getting out of bed to turn it on and off. The main issue...

Have to say not impressed. Staff were nice but service was very slow when it came to clearing away our main course plates etc. The fish was over cooked and was served with over cooked cabbage and carrotts uck! Not the veg to have with Lemon Sole

This is our 2nd time staying here. Fabulous friendly b&b pub from the moment we arrived felt right at home !! All food home cooked and a varied menu. We have travelled around and been to many very good restaurants, but never have experienced such amazing home cooked food as we've had at The Red Lion. Hats off to chef...

My wife and I stayed here because of the nearby wedding of a friend. The room was clean and spacious, the staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast the following morning was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Red Lion to my friends. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Have stayed at the red lion many times in the past this is our first visit with the dog. The red lion is dog friendly I believe they have 3 rooms suitable for a dog. There is a fee of £10 but this is far cheaper than placing the dog in a kennel for a few nights. Friendly bar and...
