At Ladakh Sarai the intention is inherent in building vivid experiences that inculcate a true sense of the culture and traditions of the land. And while we ensure our essence remains intact, we strive to re-create your stay in a brand new way. The premises of Ladakh Sarai are now home to an additional building that overlooks the Stok Range of the Himalayas and has unrivaled views of the quaint and surreal village of Saboo. Rise at the break of dawn to watch Himalayan Hues and shape shifting clouds dance around a mighty range of mountains. Experience the jagged peaks of Stok Kangri be covered overnight by a white sheet of snow. Step out onto the deck of your private balcony for an early morning session of Yoga in the stillness of your surroundings. An abiding amalgamation of comfort and luxury with nature, the grounds of Ladakh Sarai offer a profound sense of peace and solitude seldom found elsewhere. Six beautifully appointed mud huts, 4 Duplex family suit with two private balconies in each Duplex, 5 beautifully chalet rooms with separate living room and private balconies. Each the rooms over looking the beautiful Stok Range. Two heritage rooms an old Ladakhi family home of 150 years of History now adorn Ladakh Sarai as our Heritage Wing.

This resort is a hidden gem in Leh on the outskirts of the city. It’s one of the best properties I have stayed at in the hills, which is built villa style. The property has excellent rooms with snow clad hill views and there is good food selection in the restaurants with great service and friendly staff. Chef Raju is doing a great job with the buffet especially the Indian Food selection and service by by Phango is excellent, Choro at the reception had great recommendations for unique experiences around Leh. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay at a resort property away from the hustle bustle of the city in absolute quiet surroundings overlooking the snow clad hills. Loved the vibe of the place and it was a welcome change to stay at a quaint resort rather than a commercial chain hotel. Looking forward to visiting again sometime in the future.

I visited Ladakh Sarai with my wife in last week of May 2021. We were amazed with their kind hospitality, every person of this property right from sweeper, cook, laundry guy to manager were very kind and helpful.
The food was excellent with different varieties and the property is located at a scenic view.
Thanks to Mr. Jigmet & all the staff at the hotel for their kind support and hospitality during our stay.

This was our first visit to the mountain town and we reached this property straight from airport. The welcome (drink) had good warmth (in literal sense) which was quite needed for someone who travelled from 40 degree to 4 degree. The staff was so friendly and courteous from the time we landed there till we checked out 48 hours later. The room was adorable as we had a duplex family room both ground and first floor balcony opening up to snow capped mountains. It was well heated so that we could have a good night sleep. The campus is quite beautiful with apricot blossom and it would be more greener if you visit a month later. A very nice stay, thoroughly enjoyed by all the family members. Thanks to all the staff who made it memorable for us.

We had a very comfortable and beautiful stay at Sarai. It’s no doubt, one of the best priorities in the region and the best in Leh. It is probably a 10 mins drive from the city centre surrounded by nature and away from the hustle bustle of the city which makes it perfect. The rooms and cottage have the view of the mountain ranges so you literally wake up to that view every morning! Also, the food is excellent and the best we had in whole of Ladakh. We stayed there twice in one trip because once just wasn’t enough! The staff is very hospitable and you will definitely feel looked after. They have an absolutely beautiful yoga space with a breath taking view! The best space I have practiced myself in so far. I would absolutely recommend Ladakh Sarai to anyone wanting to spend some time in Leh.

Excellent hotels have standard distinctive features around the world. What makes a stay at Sarai exceptional are the people at Sarai. Their gracious service provide memorable experiences that exceed your expectations. My favorite welcome drink, a hot glass of ginger lemon tea to help you acclimatize when you arrive. I’m charmed when a boy always warn me my drink is “too hot”. The Sarai is a wonder of blooms and their vegetable garden provide a farm to table experience in a land where vegetation is sparse. My friends were so BLISSED at Sarai they didn’t want to leave for Pangong trip the next day. The meals are wholesome, delicious and generous with variety of hot appetizers and entrees both Asian and Western. There’s varieties of coffee, tea, fresh juices and detox juice. Their yoga studio is divine with 360 degree views. The rooms are equipped with heaters for cold nights. A stay at Sarai is beyond value for money. It’s an exceptional experience that will make you miss this place. You come as a guest and as a friend. A thank you to @rigzenamgyal for coordinating and curating this beautiful journey of a lifetime. Every step of the way, you were not there but your trademark of hospitality and generosity filled us with gratefulness for making this #amazingjoueney happen.

Ladakh Sarai is a beautiful place, surrounded by poplar trees and views of the mountains. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was big! All the staff is polite and helpful. The food was delicious, a lot of variety and its all made in-house. Great chefs. Their vegetable gardens provide fresh produce for their kitchen.

It is one of the best places I have ever stayed. A great place for acclimatisation as there is greenery around. I stayed at the chalet. Enjoyed having my morning tea in the balcony while listening to the birds chirping & seeing the snow clad mountains. The staff go out of the way to make one comfortable. The place also has a small library. If one has not carried any reading material one can pickup books on ladakh & even novels. If you are the type who wants to be in the market area then it is not the place for you. It is an ideal place for those wo enjoy serenity & being in the midst of nature. I would love to go back there some day. Choral & her whole team waiters, chef are vey hospitable.

The best place to stay in Leh, especially for first timers in Ladakh. It's just a stones throw from the bustle of the town centre. Secluded and The resort is sprawling with a lot of space to breathe and slowly acclimatise on the first day. The first thing that strikes is the design. All the rooms are very tastefully decorated and the landscaping is top notch. The staff was very welcoming. I must mention their welcome drink- Ginger Honey Lemon with sea buckthorn. It's very appetising and helps in acclimatisation. The staff always responds very quickly. Met the owner Mr. Rigzin- Charming and welcoming gentleman. I must say that he and his family of staffs are doing a fantastic job at Ladakh Sarai. The rooms are clean, warm, earthy ( in sync with the surrounding nature) All amenities are well planned. Their high tea is very good with freshly bakes. They serve brewed ground coffee which is something I love. The have quite an exquisite menu to choose from. The home made apricot jams are very tasty. All in all the best place in Leh where I would definitely love to go back someday. We sincerely recommend Ladakh Sarai.

We booked a full Ladakh trip and stayed at Sarai in Leh, Nubra and Pangong.
With respect to Ladakh Sarai, the stay was quite good. We stayed for 3 nights at the mudhouse. The room was slightly smaller but adequate for a couple. There is alot of open space outside the mudhouse to take the chairs out and sit and enjoy the view and the weather.
Pros:- 1. Food is good overall 2. Service throughout is out of the world. Every request is quickly responded to 3. The views are quite nice 4. The 4-6 PM high tea and pakoras is quite nice
Cons:- 1. Slightly away from the market and so once here you cant go out for dinner etc. 2. The whole booking process (we booked through them directly) was a bit tedious and i needed a lot of followup for conformations etc
On our last night we had food at the high end restaurant syah which in in their premises and that was a great finale to the trip. All in all we had a good stay and would recommend this place.

I had arranged transport with them. So I had airport pickup. It's not too far from airport though. Cost maybe between 500-1000 I guess.
Market is about 7-8 kms. You will need transport anyway to move about in Ladakh.
There are more places to choose from in the Saboo area.
