We stayed four nights at Old Drynie House, and had a truly fabulous time. Alasdair is a great host - there isn't anything he doesn't know about the Highlands, and we really looked forward to breakfast and finding out what the day had in store. With an uncanny knack for knowing where the sunshine was, Alasdair provided printouts with just...

We spent 3 wonderful days in October at North Kessik B&B. Our hosts opened their beautiful home for us with a sincere welcome. The house is nicely decorated, the rooms are big, very comfortable with huge bathrooms. They pay attention to very small details, like the basket with small toiletries "just in case" that you might have forget, and which...

A beautiful house tucked away deep in the Black Isle. A great genuinely friendly welcome from Deidre & Alastair over a cup of tea and homemade biscuits in the lobby on arrival. We'd booked the family room which comprised of 2 rooms with adjoining corridor and shared beautifully appointed bathroom. The gardens are stunning and a close walk from a...

I stayed on my own in the double room at the beginning of our NC500 drive (my wife was on the overnight train from London). I arrived just before four o'clock but Alasdair made me tea and provided biscuits while checking me in and made sure I knew of the restaurants in the surrounding area. The double room was lovely...

Old Drynie is not easy to find but it is worth the trouble. It is close to Inverness, next to a firth, has lovely rooms, beautiful gardens, a delicious homemade breakfast, and truly delightful owners. We stayed in the suite, which had a large sitting area and separate bedroom. We had French doors out to the backyard where we were...

We stayed there only one night but we felt so at home it was a pity to leave! The host, Mrs Deidre is really kind and she helped us booking a restaurant for dinner. The house is amazing, beautifully furnished with a great attention to details... we had a family suite, and there was everything we needed, we enjoyed its...

Spent one night here (should have stayed longer!). The hosts were extremely welcoming and very helpful indeed. Came with some excellent route suggestions, together with a map, for our return road journey to Edinburgh. The room was spacious and clean with a large well appointed bathroom. Lovely view over the garden to the water and peaceful to walk in the...

We have been late writing this review, by almost a year. But it's been on our mind. Alisdair - what an amazing host, and Deirdre I hope that I have the spelling correct, really looked after us. What a great, amazing scottish breakfast they gave us. They gave us amazing directions and advice. Most of all was their warmth. We...

We are not allowed to name the person who made this review, it is a lady who wishes to hide behind a nom de plume which suggests she is a man. We are allowed to say she told us she was a German doctor. We are distraught that the lady found it necessary to write this review, the first of...

What an absolutely wonderful find. This stunning property on the coast with magnificent gardens is just a short but gorgeous drive through woods and countryside and conveniently located near Inverness. We had the ground floor suite leading on to the garden. It's very comfortable with the feel of a parlour and boudoir to it. Deirdre and Alasdair are truly wonderful...
