Stayed for a night in Pollfoss when we were traveling around in Norway. It was a really genuine guesthouse /hotel. The food was good and the owner is friendly and helpful. The room could have a moor mordern shower. The waterfall in the backyard is stunning! Magic Green water!

The hotel is very charming! The common rooms are decorated with "traditional" Norwegian trolls and old tools and equipment. The rooms are old, but clean and beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is good considering the price.

It is the 4th year I stay at this hotel in July , a Dutch couple took it over and reopened it. Real homely atmosphere, good food, nice rooms very friendly. Great for going fishing or on walks or go to Trollstigen good place to stay when passing true to South or North of Norway. Can take long walks there... More

Good for an overnight stay and cheaper than nearby Lom. Facilities are basic (no tv or phone in room, although there's wf-fi) but the room was otherwise comfortable. For Norway, dinner and breakfast offers at Pollfoss are basic and food appears to be more of the frozen/instant type, rather than home cooked. The owners, although courteous do not come through... We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Location suited our travelling needs very well. The waterfall behind the hotel is a nice little bonus. Breakfast wasn't anything special but okay. Front desk looked up helpful information on ferries for us.

In the middle of nowhere, but close to a river with waterfall, nice place. We arrived at 8 pm after a long trip, and the landlady told us that no dinner would be served after 8. " If you want , there is a camping 8 km away, with a restaurant", she did not offer us any kind of food... More

If you like simplicity, rustic style and removed location - this is perfect. My husband and I enjoyed our brief stop here. We weren't expecting 5* accommodation so wasn't disappointed that there wasn't any wifi or TVs but instead a beautiful stream and waterfall outside!!! Bathrooms were clean but in need of updating. Main thing the rooms were clean !!!... More

We stayed at this place on the nights of 22-23 of July. Be warned : At 11 p.m. the owners lock all the doors so no one can get in. On the 2nd night there we returned at 11.15 p.m. to the hotel after a long day in Geiranger. Everything was locked so we rung a bell which was outside.... More

The hotel is situated by the main road, very nice surroundings. The main building is from 1898 and looks charming. Indoors are many old things to look at. Our room was in the "new " bulding. Probably from around 1980 and never refurbished. No charm, very simple, terrible bathroom. No TV in the room and neither in the sittingrooms. Dinner expensive... More
