Gorgeous old manor house has been lovingly restored by eccentric owner and her family. B&B rooms are very generous in size and located in a peaceful village within easy drive or easy bus trip to Oxford. Found a great walk along the river Thames from Benson to Wallingford that I recommend, as Wallingford is a great village for a visit.

This is a lovely place to spend the night! The room is spacious, well presented and has all the things you could need. We enjoyed a good nights sleep. The owner was friendly and helpful making suggestions of local places to visit. Breakfast was delicious. A wide selection of cereals, fruit yoghurt and a healthy cooked breakfast

Welcomed into a family home that is also a historical manor house. Had tasty organic full English in the 800+ year old dining room and slept in the respectfully appointed Blue Room. This place has a lot of uniqueness and will suit those not looking for those characterless boxy hotels or semidetached B&Bs. It is set in its own grounds... More

We spent 3 enjoyable and relaxing days here. Christine was very welcoming and a constant source of good advice on the local area. The blue room was beautiful; large, airy and warm with a comfortable bed and a huge bath. The manor itself is obviously a 'work in progress' which only adds to its character. Breakfasts were excellent. There is... More

We stayed in the Nursery room in May and Christine couldn't have been more welcoming. The manor house and gardens are quite something and the room was beautiful, very tastefully furnished. My daughter was getting over an ear infection and had gone off her food so Christine went out of her way to buy something different to tempt her to... More

Whilst visiting family near Henley on Thames we choose this family run old manor for a two night stay. The hosts were welcoming and very helpful. We stayed in the Blue Room which was very restful, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast, assorted cereals and an English cooked assortment was of a high standard. We will definitely return when next in the... More

We stayed here before and after attending a local country wedding. It was ideal. It's a really beautiful old manor house, elegantly furnished, with very few rooms, giving the place an intimate feel. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the beds. Room design could best be described as quirky. I suspect a woman did the interior design and there's not... More

Thank you for taking the trouble to write your review. From the description you were in ' the old nursery'. This is also the family room and has been used as a nursery since Victorian times hence the dolls house! It is always productive to have not only positive feed back but also points for improvement . I have had... More

I travelled to Oxford for more than three years, staying overnight one day a week, year-round, until last week... hurray, retired at last! When I started, I tried several bed and breakfasts and hotels in to the south of Oxford but soon settled on Fyfield as my only place to stay because it was (and I think still is!) the... More

Fyfield Manor is an amazing place to stay. It is a very special historic manor and run by the wonderful Brown family. I stayed in Cloister cottage for a couple of months to finish my research papers. I stayed at Fyfield Manor for three nights whilst working nearby, and can't praise Christine's hosting skills highly enough.
