Very serene, soothing surroundings and a good getaway place. Cottages were comfortable with a lovely sit out with an expansive view Service was good. Staff accommodating to our needs Reasonably priced dishes, generous helpings, served on time. The drawbacks were frequent power cuts with no back up which is okay during winter months. Since kettle is provided, it would be a good idea to provide glasses/mugs for making tea and coffee in the rooms. However, it was served whenever we asked. Overall a very pleasant experience.
The place is calm, serene and good for a relaxing stay however there are no additional amenities provided at the location for the price offered. The below are the major DRAWBACKS which just made the whole experience unpleasant for us. 1. The food was just too basic we need not spend so much money to stay in a so called "LUXURIOUS resort " to have Sambar/rice. Not in one coorgi speciality offered as part of any of the items served to us Day 1- We reached property by evening hence we first had an our dinner the first night stay. The incharge was not clear to give us the clear idea of what can be served. He kept saying order from the menu which is placed in room we will provide that. Later on we get communication that individually to do different items it will be difficult and will involve additional charges. Hence we agreed for what they will offer us with our additional request for Akki roti (very hard), chutney, Alu Gobi, and pork curry(very salty) . The food given along with it was Rasam and rice. Day 2- a. We got Dosai, sambar , with upma a mix of semolina and rava for breakfast b. Rice, sambar, chapati, khurma for lunch c. Malabar parota, basic moong dal curry, pulao which was filled with starch Day 3- a. Poori with very plain Baaji, Pongal which hardly had any flavour for breakfast b. Rice, dal, chapati and again Sambar We were impressed with first night dinner but over the next two days it just was a big disappoint. There was only watery curries with no vegetable sides or proper side curries or any dessert in any of the meals. 2. Serving tea/ coffee as part of breakfast is always complimentary in any "LUXURIOUS resort" here they charge for it. The hi tea is also complimentary in all places. However here we ordered our tea at 4.30 pm and the same was given at 7 pm (is it professional) also we got a response the milk was spoilt hence took time - There was no proper resource management or any communication. The snacks provided were few for 8 people and 2 kids when asked to make some more the response was " it cannot be done as they finished it " what does it mean since we were paying for snack why always hesitate 3. The hot water facility was the worst. Why is there a solar facility placed when during winters or rain there is hardly any sunlight. How can you expect guests to keep calling for hot water ( via mobile as there are no intercoms in room to even call them ) We travelled as 4 couples with 2 babies. Babies will require more frequent hot water facility for which each time we need to wait for 15 min to get hot water. The whole process being stressful 4. The property holds 5 rooms- we occupied 4 rooms which had only 4 couples. To cater to 4 rooms it is termed as a "crowd". How does it come under crowd category so that means if your property is full you are incapable of managing. 5. We felt for any of our request there will be a cribbing response. Bonfire was charged extra when they provided 3 extra logs to stay by bonfire for longer. So anyone planning for staying here just be aware and be mindful of the service provided…
Worst Resort, STAY AWAY They charge exorbitant amount for Tea, Coffee and snacks. No Hot water facility, need to call for each bucket of water. Food is below average, Staff and Owner crib to prepare food.
This was a rollercoaster kind of place in a not so pleasant manner. SERVICE - This is where it's a rollercoaster. There are 2 ppl to help u around and they try to cater to ur needs. But, really falls short of "satisfactory" experience. Particularly with person named Muttu, if property owner is around, he will respond. For example, we order coffee at 6pm and u get it at 7 pm. Not to mention his attitude while serving food was pathetic. He keep cribbing and mumbling every time we order for anything. I honestly felt his attitude was horrible when he was serving food. Even basic things are such as Pickle we needed to ask and wait quite sometime to get it during lunch or dinner. The worst was when a new ppl arrive there was no helper around to guide them and they sat in our room balcony and kept yapping for almost 45-60 minutes. we have no intercoms to call for reception and report. Hence, it was all on us to take care of situation. I felt like this property was "Free for all" anybody can walk in and do what they want and nobody was around to question them. I felt extremely disappointed and USAFE for my family. FOOD - Except for 1st day dinner, everything else was as basic as u get in hostels. I am not sure how it works out from cost perspective. But, taste and options was extremely disappointing. Just to be fair, i did praise the chef on 1st day dinner and his name was John, but post that all 6 meals were extremely basic. Mind u, even when they served this kind of food, we never cribbed but, the guy who served "MUTTUSWAMY" cribbed and cribbed, which left a bad taste in our mouth. WATER - There is no hot water and u have to call them every time for same. If ur going as family, be ready for some treacherous time. PLACE - Its a beautiful property. Summary - U may have the best property, but if ur hospitality is such that it leaves a lot to be desired for. Am not sure Property matters. Its better to have 5 star hospitality and 3 star property than other way around.…
Had a memorable stay with family and friends ,the owner Kiran and his team are super hosts. They take care of you like family, and yes an amazing conversationalist,if there is a word like that. Food cooked by their chef John is lip smacking ,never had so many varieties of sambar. View is amazing ,experience calming
Awesome place to spend time with friends. Nice rooms with awesome balcony view of paddy fields .It's located in plantations ... With blissful nature. We spent only one day but the stay was excellent and so much accomdative. My family and I stayed at Green Dreams for 3 nights in March 2018. Pros : 0. Pure-vegetarian stay - nice owners. 1. Cottages are reasonably clean and comfortable. Also the place is reasonably easy to find using google maps/navigation 2. Dinners were good (that is, whichever nights the owners show up). 3. Although it's a small property it is relatively well maintained. Cons : 1. On day 1, nobody showed up to check us in for quite some time. Called Narendra (the owner) who arranged for the caretaker to come in. He gave us a cottage in which the air conditioner didn't work and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. Requested a different cottage which was provided after some delay. The AC did work in the new cottage, but the power kept cutting out during the night. Poor sleep quality as a result. Since the farm stay is on the plains, cottages get very hot in March and probably throughout the year. Also, when we tried to report issues, the caretaker almost never picked up the phone! 2. Apparently the cook had quit the prior week. Breakfast and lunch were sparse and poor, perhaps because it was done by makeshift staff occasionally supervised by the caretaker. Dinner was good on most nights because the owners came and took personal interest to ensure it was good. Summary : Probably an alternative to an overnight hotel stay for vegetarian families who are travelling onward. Anything longer than overnight would be a stretch. …
We were looking for a place to have a family get-together and since we are vegetarians, this seemed like a great option...a friend had earlier stayed here for 3 days and loved it too. Beautiful location, not at such an altitude as Madikeri nor as green (in winter) but still serene. We soaked up the peaceful atmosphere as we entered. Minimal staff..a big thank you to Harish, Sunil and Chotu for taking such good care of us. The food is vegetarian, organic, simple and homely (none of that greasy, extra salty rich restaurant food) exactly what we were looking for, just be sure to specify by what time you need each meal or by what time they will have it ready. They have bicycles available at no cost to explore the local sights (roads can be rough though). One can explore their farm, kitchen garden, nearby forests, Chiklihole Reservoir which is a sunset point nearby and boy was it a gorgeous sunset. Green Dreams lies off Dubare road so the elephant camp was fairly close by too. Each Cottage has a king-size bed with Duvet. No TV or wifi but data works better than expected. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and we had a few slugs crawling around...each one dutifully planted back in the garden .. All the kiddos and adults enjoyed the creepy crawlies and we were the ones in their home so-to-speak. Beautiful full moon and all-round blissful ambience. Lush green space for the children to run around and enjoy themselves. The buildings have been designed and built sustainably with natural materials, and one feels reasonably grounded here. Would definitely recommend this homestay and a big thank you to Mr Narendra and team for giving us a memorable getaway. p.s..you can buy some of their organic products, be sure to ask for them as soon as you check in so that they can fulfill your order before you leave.…
We had a blissful experience at Green dreams Kushalnagar. The ambience is awesome amidst nature and the hospitality is just great. The food is pure vegetarian made with taste and hygiene. Overall a great place to stay and relax due to the calmness and nature.
Green Dreams is an oasis of loveliness. The farm setting is really special - and it's amazing what is grown here! The accommodation cottages are beautifully kept and comfortable. But what really was a draw here is the amazing organic food, special dishes prepared perfectly. Ask for a tour of the farm. Fabulous staff, too.
