Located in the lush village of Guddehosur (5 kms from Kushalnagar)on the riverbank of Cauvery, you can find the Nexstay Excellency Resort and Spa. At Excellency Resort and Spa, we believe the ultimate luxury is connection. The resort and the experience have been designed to allow our guests to reconnect with nature, with their loved ones and most importantly, with themselves.
As soon as you enter the gate of The Excellency Resort, one can literally feel the nature surrounding with lush green and birds chirping. You will be welcomed by the staff with a hearty smile on their face. We were 4 in numbers they suggested for president suite which is 2 bedrooms and 2 individual bathroom with a 24/7 hot water facility, which can accommodate 4 people. One room with A/C and another with a table fan. This resort is attached right by the river bed KAVERI. We were guided by the staff Rashmi who planned perfectly for our peaceful stay and for sightseeing they do have a cab facility, one can book the cab for sightseeing at extra cost. We stayed for 1 day since we had limited time and wanted to cover most of the places as well as enjoy the stay in a resort. After sightseeing, we came back to the resort and we asked for Bonfire setup and also for Dinner(Extra cost). Mr.Bhadra took special care and arranged all the requirements we want. He was so happy to help us out. The next day morning he took us to explore the forest which is next to the Kaveri river, luckily the water flow was less and we have crossed the river in ease and explored the other side of the river Kaveri. Totally it was a wonderful stay and retuned with fun-filled adventure memories.

There is no Indore activity like carrom, chess , TT etc.. to spend a day in the resort. Quality of lunch and dinner need to be improved. Breakfast was good, pool was nice. Good thing about the resort is they allow to use pool even after 6 pm

We stayed in the property for 2 nights. The property is absolutely not value for money. We stayed in cottage room which is supposed to be their premium room. The room was pretty average for the price charged. There was absolutely no customer service. For example, we have to carry out bags to room and reception respectively both during checkin and checkout. They apologised for that but that's what you do when no one came to pick bags even after 30 mins. Secondly, due to heavy rains on first night, their generator failed and for 2 hours there was no electricity. We have to follow up with them multiple times to get a response about when we will get electricity. Third, their restaurant food quality and management is absolutely worst I have ever seen. There was no menu in room, again have to call multiple times but no proper response. Then, when we went in rain to their restaurant, there was absolutely chaos. All guests complaining about wrong orders and food quality. Waited 1 hour and finally got below average food. Next day, we didn't dare to have meal there and went outside. On the checkout day, there was no hot water in hotel room. We asked reception again- same response we will tell you in 5 min. We got no response for next 1 hour. Since we had to leave, we managed with cold water. Final nail in the board was at time of checkout, I asked for bill due, they charged 5 bills to our room with high costs. When I saw the bills, I was shocked to see that 3 out of 5 bills were for yesterday's meal which we never had in the hotel. Then, after heated argument, they agreed with the amount I had to pay. I was surprised they had no tracking of who is billing on our room. They don't take signature for any bill post food or service consumption which is basic now for any hotel. This is absolutely not the 3 or 4 star hotel they published. There is 1 decent sized pool which we have to tell them twice to clean because of rain water the previous day.
I hope they hire right and experienced people who can handle guests at peak season time. Current staff is absolutely inexperienced and not equipped to handle guests.

We stayed here for two nights in a Delux cottage on Jan 1 and Jan 2. With respect to amenities/activities at resort, there is only swimming pool. The swimming pool was big, clean and welcoming but no towels or changing, shower rooms provided. When it comes to the actual cottage, it was beautiful from outside with attached garden. Inside it was a 1BHK kind of layout. The interior work was very sharp at corners. The latches were all small sharp ones. My husband actually got hurt with one of the latches by accidentally passing by too close to it. My two year old kept trying to lock us inside. The main bedroom had a latch on the outside well within the reach of a two year old. I seriously don't get the point of adding a latch outside the bedroom door. There was a fixed table near the bed which was very sharp and everytime you get up or in bed, you had to be cautious not to get hurt by it. The bathroom was huge but very poorly built. There was no counter to keep anything(I needed to wash my son's bottles and sipper and had to make several rounds to the room to get each one by one) . The hanging rod was rusted. Tiles scaled. No ventilation what so ever. So, the bathroom kept stinking all the time. No division between shower area and rest of the space. So the entire bathroom used to get wet after a shower and it used to stay that way for hours after. There is a small tile band at the threshold of bathroom which was again very sharp edged. I hurt my feet on that. The linen was spotted. When I mentioned this to the housekeeping the guy said ok. And that's it. It was never changed. No signs provided to let them know to clean the room when we are not there. We had requested an extra bed. The bed was longer than the mattress and the legs of the person sleeping on that bed kept hanging out of mattress. Overall, a bad experience for the money we paid. Will not be visiting again and will not recommend it.

They live upto the name excellency. Excellent service and prompt staff. Specially the Manager Mr. Jafar very helpful with all sorts of requests. Also special mention for Mr. Anthony who was attentive and answered question even at odd hours not to forget the house keeping guys bishwa and his colleague.
The ambience is great. Property is in close proximity to kaveri nisargdham and also has the river flowing through its backyard itself. we were alloted the last cottage just right next to where the river flows from. Though the river is not accessible from the property due to it being a green zone but just the view of it from the property and the sound of water makes the stay special.
If you are looking for a clam stay and love riverside book ypir stay with this resort and you will not be disappointed.

Last day my wife and I had the privilege of staying for two nights at your beautiful resort, This resort was the perfect place to get away for a few days and we enjoyed every minute. Room service and food was excellent. Swimming pool with water fall was super and enjoyed lot.Please convey my appreciation to resort team for making this a very memorable stay for me and my wife.
