A very beautiful property with cute Bamboo rooms and huge garden area. The rooms have a shared common terrace with a great view of the mountains. The property was a eco friendly property as it is power on solar energy and has solar water heating. The water timings can be inconvenient but its expected as its in a village in Nubra called Sumur.
Overall great stay and good food and service.
Special thanks to Mr Motup for his help.

This was my first ever trip to Ladakh with my family. I was staying at the Mogol in leh mad they arranged my stay in nubra valley. The Silk Route Cottages is a nice eco friendly resort. It is in a quaint area and is surrounded with beautiful trees and plants. The property has great views of the mountains and the rooms are small and cozy. The food was great and I enjoyed my stay.

After a long trip from Leh to Nubra through Khardung La pass, I can say my stay was worth the long journey. The property is situated in a small village and close to a Monastery. The property is surrounded by lush greenery and has many apricot trees. The owner was kind enough to let me sample some of the apricots. My room was a bamboo cottage and the staff was helpful enough to give me an extra blanket. The service and food were amazing and I am thankful to the Silk Route staff for making my stay very comfortable.

Really enjoyed my stay at this beautiful resort. The place brings one close to nature. There is no wifi and network connection can be an issue however the beautiful location and the friendly staff made my stay very comfortable. I enjoyed the nice garden area and the fresh grown Apricots were yummy ( thanks to the owner for letting me taste a sample). The nearby Monastery was beautiful and the place is great when exploring nearby. Would recommend this place.

The property is really beautiful with greeny and garden area. They have many apricot trees and great views. Each cottage has a good view of the mountains and has a small private garden area. The service and food was really good. The staff was friendly and gave me extra blankets when requested. The hotel gave tasty food with Chinese and continental. A monastery is a nearby walk away. My stay at silk route was both comfortable and relaxing. I will visit this place next time as well.

The cottages are small but really well maintained. The food and service was really good. The property is surrounded with greenery and has a very well maintained garden. Enjoyed my evening tea with the great view. The management was kind enough to give me few samples of their apricots. The internet and connectivity can be a pain but expected in this area. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Loved my stay at this lush property. I visited during the August time with my family and got to witness the blooming of the beautiful greenery in Silk Route. The property has the basic amenities all that are required for a comfortable stay. Wanted to get away from the crowded Mumbai scene and came to Ladakh. My stay was very comfortable and the owners and the staff were very helpful. Loved the in-house snacks and apricots.

A sudden plan to Nubra Valley during our Leh sojourn brought us to this gem of a place. Since it was just the start of the season (May), we were lucky to get 2 cottages without prior booking. However, suggest that guests book their stay in advance. The cottages were lovely with attached bathrooms and all the convenience of hot running water. We had tea sitting out in the garden with the view of beautiful snow capped mountains and trees around us. We got a pleasant surprise when we ordered palak (spinach) pakoras...the staff actually picked up fresh spinach from their farming area and made some of the tastiest palak pakoras we had ever tasted! Excellent food and amazing service for dinner and breakfast accompanied with a trip down history lane courtesy Major who is the heart and soul of Silk Route. Thank you Sir!
