A wonderful experience, the grounds as you drive up the long drive look very well cared for ( at any time of year) over the past 15 years we have stayed here during all seasons. It great to see many of the same staff ,all the staff we met this time were very helpful and obliging. The room we had...

Thank you for your lovely review of West Lodge Park Hotel, I am so glad that you have enjoyed not only your latest visits but all your stays over the past 15 years. We do have a low turnover of staff, although some move on with our fondest wishes of course, and I think this stability in our team is...

Thank you for your kind review of West Lodge Park, I am so delighted that you enjoyed your visit to this lovely hotel. As I write the sun is streaming down (finally !) and the freshly mown lawns look beautiful. Our four beehives make about 180 jars of honey each season, and there is a small amount left from last...

This was a chance find and an amazing one, with 35 acres and over 800 different varieties of trees. There are some quite rare and spectacularly beautiful ones, particularly at the moment the pine with the bright red young cones hanging from the tips of the branches - I've never seen anything like it. The staff are friendly and welcoming...

Thank you for your lovely review of the Beale Arboretum ! I am so glad you enjoyed your visit, and that you spotted the Picea abies 'Acrocona' which is a rare Korean spruce with the extraordinary pink cones on the ends of the branches. As I write, the sun is finally coming out, and I expect the thousands of deciduous...

Myself and my husband visited West Lodge Park to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel itself is situated amongst the most beautiful arboretum with a stunning array of trees and shrubbery. Our room was light, airy and pleasantly decorated whilst very spacious with both bath and shower in the en-suite. Everything was cleaned to a high standard and the tea,...

Thank you for your very kind review of West Lodge Park, I am so pleased that all aspects of your stay were so satisfactory, and that all our staff looked after you so well. This hotel was so nice, huge bedrooms with really comfy beds and massive baths omg nearly drowned lmao. The rooms were so spacious and airy but the inky downside was the food there was only an option of 6 meals or something so don't take children because they won't like any of it

Thank you for your review of West Lodge Park Hotel. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and found the bedrooms to be so comfortable. I am not sure where the children's choice of 6 meals comes from. We have a very extensive menu, both in the restaurant with 10 starters, 10 mains and 10 desserts all available...

This was our 3rd stay at this elegant hotel. It is family owned and run, and this is apparent by the level of service that all the staff provided us during our stay. From reception running to get a jug of milk for us before we retired for the night, to the Barman making a cocktail for us which was...

Thank you for your kind review of West Lodge Park following your third visit to the hotel. I am so glad you have enjoyed all your stays, consistency being the mainstay of hotelkeeping, and quite the hardest thing to get right. We stayed for a one night, evening meal, bed and breakfast. Well and efficiently greeted. All was as expected until we got to our room. West Lodge Park Hotel is a beautiful country house hotel set in 35 acres of grounds on the edge of North London. It has been owned and run by three generations of the Beale family since 1945 and now has 59 bedrooms, the Mary Beale Restaurant and Terrace Bar, 8 stunning banqueting rooms, and plentiful free parking. The hotel is located just a mile from Cockfosters Tube station where there is a large car park and frequent trains on the Piccadilly Line to all the sights of central London. Around the hotel is the magnificent Beale Arboretum, with over 800 species of trees from around the world, 2 national collections of hornbeams and swamp cypresses, and plentiful hard paths and interpretive signage. The hotel is also home to the Edward Beale collection of Old master paintings, most of which have been painted by the ancestor of the family, Mary Beale, who was Britain's first professional woman artist, painting at the time of Charles II.
