Dan and Dannii run this very nice English pub. The food was fantastic, the starters, sides and mains were big portion and excellent quality. We had the cheese dip, cheesy chips and garlic fries while spending the evening with a pint in front of the open fire. Then for dinner the Angus steak, cooked perfectly to the order, crunchy chips...

We've had another lovely meal here today, wow!! It just gets better. Everything was cooked beautifully and presented very well, the waitress was a young girl and she was lovely and helpful. I don't know how anyone could give this place a negative review it's just perfect for us to have a nice, fresh, relaxing meal where you never feel...

Right lets get the positive out the way, my son had a steak which he said was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. Now, this was a family meal on Boxing Day afternoon, it was important, which is why I drove to the pub and booked us in personally, a week before, I chose a table in the main...

Boxing day outing with family and friends. Pulled over on the off chance of a pleasant pint and wasn't disappointed. Great roaring fire, dog friendly and food looked good. Sadly we didn't have time to eat. Friendly lady behind the bar. Nice find.

Well that was a bit ago but we walked over for Sunday lunch, Ali had roast beef, I had roast beef and gammon plus we shared a portion of cauliflower cheese. What can I say?? It was amazing, no daft side plates with your veg on just a big plate packed to the rafters with really well prepared food that...

We booked to stay here for 3 days back in May. Stay was from 2/10 for 3 nights. Having looked at the recent reviews we were a bit wary. However, everything was just as we wanted it. The room was lovely, looking across the valley. The evening meal we had was delicious, and the English breakfasts were second to one....

Heard this place had changed hands, so thought we would pay a visit.. Not impressed at all. Poor food and served Warm. Not sure what is going on with the menu.. If your going to try and compete with other local pubs/restaurants then get it right.. I'm a regular customer of the beehive, Cock pub and kitchen and the swan.....

Good afternoon We are saddened to receive such a bad review. If you could provide the date of your visit and let us know the food that was served poorly we will be able to look into this issue. Given that we have been here some 18 months now, our menu is our own and we certainly do not try...

Just popped in for a quick beer with the wife. Nice friendly pub in a lovely area. Staff were very welcoming and the beer was good. Noticed they do B & B and serve food. We didn't eat here but the menu looked ok with reasonable prices as well.
