Internet poor, breakfast wonderful. Elevator wasn't working, was a haul to the top. Room sparce. TV reception non-existent. Disappointment for a "castle" stay. Tough to find. Service only thing saving the place.

Broomhall Castle is by far the nicest hotel i've ever stayed in. My family and i (7 of us in total) travelled up to Scotland from Leeds, Yorkshire, to celebrate my grandparents wedding anniversary and chose to stay in this hotel for a couple of nights. Staff were really friendly and were happy to help with anything. The rooms were...

We had a small wedding in March 2016 and chose Broomhall Castle as the venue for our wedding meal with 21 family and friends and were delighted with our decision. Everything, from initial contact with Gavin to planning our meal with the very helpful chef and then, finally, our wedding day itself went smoothly and was handled professionally, with a...

Okay firstly, I understand that seating a family of 18 such as mine for a new years buffet may be difficult. We booked and paid for this meal well in advance by the way. Upon entering we were told to just find a seat wherever we can. In a room that seats perhaps 80 at most had over 100 people...

Booked as a party of 18 , when we arrived they were asking us to sit where we could . I.e. 2 here 2 there etc. A lady gave up her table so we could get 6 of us together, then grudgingly they put 2 tables together for the rest of the party. So our tables were 3 apart! The...

We were in Room 12, a slightly small but lovely quirky room with it's own turret :-) Staff were brilliant, food good. Lots of downstairs space for guests to sit, enjoy a drink and lookout at the views. What more can I say ? hoping to go back.

Firstly I have to say this is great value for money. The hotel is reached by a nice winding drive uphill but then.... there is no obvious reception when you get there and its very much a case of multitasking staff as noone behind the bar and the staff dedicated to the restaurant. Rooms are reached by stairs and very...

Rooms are big, clean and comfy and surprisingly warm. Hosts will make everything possible to make your stay exceptional. And food is great. Wifi is. It available everywhere due to extreme thickness of the walls. Highly recommend.
