I stayed here over the past weekend with friends and we all enjoyed our time spent at St Vedas. The owners were extremely kind and accommodating. They could tell we wanted some nighttime drinks and did not hesitate opening the bar for us. Eggs at breakfast come from the farm outside- very fresh. The adjoining surf shop has all necessary...

Stumbled across this family (husband and wife team) run hotel (St Vedas House) on the advice of the locals at nearby St Ebbs. Both locations are a must see when driving from Edinburgh to the North Yorkshire moors or Whitby (Captain Cooks birthplace). Hotel has WiFi and comfortable and clean rooms. Make certain you ask for a beach view room....

We stopped off here for a late lunch whilst exploring the beautiful local coastline - Cove is well worth a visit. We received a friendly welcome and quite service of delicious fish and chips is a quite basic dining room but with lovely views over the delightful Coldingham bay

No visible reception person. Smell in pool-table/armchair hall bit like an over-used suitcase. We left because it was a bit like the Marie Celeste and we could not find the dining room. No obvious entrance

Nice location for a hotel, but it is showing it's age. Outside looks tired and weather beaten. Wrinkled lino in the bathroom, cracked toilet bowl, cheap Wickes shower, nasty industrial/public loo type soap dispenser over the hand basin. No evening meal available, had to go elsewhere. Is this actually a hotel or a B&B with a public bar? Breakfast very...

Stayed here 2 nights for a local wedding just a walk away. We didn't know what to expect as there is a surf school attached to the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and clean ( looked as though it had been recently painted) with en suite. Breakfast was perfectly cooked to order. We had a sea...

Just back from a weekend at the St veds and had a super time. Great location, weather iffy, but not in their control! Staff freindly and attentive without being intrusive. Dinner was super (turbot recommended) and breakfast

I was skeptical before I got to the hotel. I had read some reviews that really made me question whether or not I wanted to stay here. What a wonderful surprise I got when I arrived. The hotel is about 200' from the beach. It is a lovely building and the owners have put a lot of love (and money)...

Recently visited and had a superb meal. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Menu was small but very varied and obviously fresh. Hot smoked salmon was great value and burger was fantastic, Lovely wine too with a beautiful backdrop looking down Coldingham Sands
