I have been staying at the Grange for the past several years for a few days each year and I always feel welcome and very comfortable at the receiving end of Ruth and John's hospitality. I would not choose anywhere else to stay in Lauder!

We would highly recommend the Grange B&B, John and Ruth are very friendly and helpful hosts. Our en suite room was well appointed and very clean and had a peaceful view of the back garden. Possibly the only complaint would be the tail board on the bed, for my husband, who is over 6 ft tall, that causes a bit...

We were made to feel very welcome by Ruth & John, on this my first stay in a B&B. I'll certainly try another, if my stay here is anything to go by. The place is clean and well appointed, with a good breakfast.

Had a fantastic 4-night stay this May at The Grange. Ruth and John are excellent hosts. The Grange offers a friendly and attractive B&B for anyone staying in the vicinity of Lauder. And you will not go hungry after one of Ruth's breakfasts.

One of our party of four had had to turn back due to a family emergency. Ruth and John were very helpful in adjusting our booking. Although we had shared bathrooms, they were of very high quality, and our room had its own basin and was very comfortable. The whole property is in a excellent state of repair. All the...

Wonderful warm welcome to this clean and attractive home. Despite living there for many years, it feels fresh and new (it helps perhaps that John is a painter and decorator). You feel both Ruth and John just want you to have the best stay possible. The twin room was very comfortable. The breakfast full and hearty. No complaints. Lots of...

Stayed at The Grange for five weeks while on placement in Lauder, Monday to Friday and went home at weekends. Warm welcome every time I returned. Wide selection of choice for breakfast, always a good start to the day. Ruth and John couldn't have been more accommodating if they tried. Couldn't ask for anymore from my time at The Grange....

Ruth and John are very welcoming, and were accomadatiing when I needed to extend my stay. It is well placed to walk into Lauder and easy to access other parts of the Borders from as well as not being too far from Edinburgh. If needed there is also a bus stop right outside The Grange. Ruth and John were also...

I have stayed at many hotels, guest houses etc over the years, and The Grange, with Ruth and John, ranks at the very top of the quality scale in all respects. The location is perfect, only a few minutes walk from Lauder centre, but also in a secluded off road position with ample parking. I'm already booked in for 2016!...
