Lovely relaxing break in beautiful scenery. Will be back again next year. Hard to choose which cottage as have stayed in Red, White and Sawmill and each has its own ambience, views and visiting wildlife.

we are booked into Tioram Cottage on the island for a week this July and I have a couple of questions that you may be able to answer if you can please. The sandy beach that is often photographed is called Shoe Bay, this looks to be the best if not the only sandy beach on the island, If we walk from our cottage how long would it take to get there, although we wont be in a rush i am guessing its a walk of an hour or Two, and details on the walk would be great. The second question concerns the Scottish "midges" in Summer, are there loads, few, any tips etc. Also any other details that you think will make our stay all the better would be appreciated, 17 weeks to go and counting, cant wait
