Although the castle must be centuries old I'm quite sure it has never seen a group like us but we were nonetheless welcomed with open arms by friendly courteous staff! 18 of us turned up for a stag weekend and they could have been forgiven for being a bit apprehensive but everyone was so nice and helpful from the minute...

Amazing authentic castle but relaxed and friendly. Spectacular views from spectacular rooms. Lovely grounds. Delicious and beautifully presented food. Loved aperitif point at the loch at sunset (but an aperitif in front of the hall fire was also special!) Lots to explore in Ardnamurchan (whisky distillery just along the road) but you may not want to leave the Castle -...

Returned after several years and could not believe that it is still as good. The hotel interior is well maintained, old furniture, pictures, tapestries, the correct surroundings for a castle. Very comfortable and spacious throughout, including rooms and common areas. Weather was wet and windy, but you never were aware of it as surroundings great, warm throughout despite size, staff...

Colin and I stayed here for the night but wished it was longer. The castle is beautiful the setting stunning the food delicious the best steak either of us had ever had. But what really makes this place are the lovely people who work there. They are friendly nothing is too much and they make you feel like you're at...

Wonderful atmospheric old castle in a very beautiful setting. Our room had the most marvellous bath with a glorious view from its turretted room. The bedroom was spacious and traditionally furnished with lovely four poster and quality fittings. The staff were lovely and attentive. The whole experience was uplifting and we cannot wait to return. Many islands nearby and lovely...

I know it is strange to start the review from the manager but it simply must be done. Sarah is legendary! She made us feel very special, like we were some kind of royalty. From the booking process until our goodbyes, she was extremely lovely, professional, cool and knowledgeable. If only all castles were run by her! I booked our...

This was our second stay at this fabulous hotel in three months. We were so bowled over with the first visit, that I decided , rather than have a birthday celebration at home, four nights here was the better option.I was not wrong. We love this magnificent hotel. With only about 15 rooms, it is more like a wonderful house...

We were fortunate enough to get married at the castle at the end of Aug. There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how amazing our day was. Sitting now looking back on the day, there are a million reasons why it was so spectacular; the setting which is one of a kind, the area which is the...

If you only do this once you should stay here. The majestic appearance as you enter the grounds is breathtaking. Despite being a castle the number of guests isn't overwhelming and has a feel of personal touch to those staying. We stayed in the Macbeth suite, other rooms have similar scots themes such as Fleming. The room has a 4...

My husband and I and our elderly labrador thoroughly enjoyed a 4 night stay at this wonderful castle. The staff were very welcoming and could not do enough to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. The food was excellent and the atmosphere in the dining room romantic and you really felt transported back in time with the candlelight and the sporting...
