We stayed at the Loch Shiel last weekend and had a brilliant time. A warm welcome from the manager Lynda and her staff Scott, Sam, Pauline, Shona and Joanne. The room was lovely and clean and the view across the Loch was stunning!!! The dinner cooked by the chef Mark was top notch, my husband had the mussels for starters...

I recently stayed here for three nights and can't wait to go back. The rooms were clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The restaurant was very reasonably priced, with a particularly good selection of seafood dishes, and the breakfast was great. We received a very warm welcome on arrival, and the staff and locals were extremely helpful in recommending places...

I stayed here for one night and I couldn't be happier with my stay. Price was excellent, in retrospect I would happily pay more. Room was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Hotel appears to be in the process of upgrading various aspects and the owners are doing a great job with this. Best part was the food. I had...

Thank you so much for your review. I am thrilled you had an enjoyable stay and were able to sample and enjoy the local seafood we serve. We have indeed gradually been upgrading the hotel since it was bought over 4 years ago and we are now, thankfully, almost completely finished, we just have some work to on the gardens...

Stayed here for one night and had a very comfortable room which advertised a loch view but you would have needed binoculars to see it. On their website they advertised real ales and seafood but when l went in March there was neither unless you include cod and chips from a pretty standard pub food menu. The lady behind the...

Thank you kindly for taking the time to review us. You unfortunately must have just missed the seafood menu as it starts in April when our season begins. Our website states we use locally sourced food wherever possible; including fish and in March we did have award winning Ardshealach smoked salmon and Mallaig haddock on the menu. If you look...

Great food - really tasty top quality pub food - with excellent, friendly service. Well worth a visit. We had a lovely pre-meal drink in front of a cosy fire followed by a very enjoyable meal and a nice wine.

WE stayed here overnight. Lynda gave us a warm welcome. Our room had a view towards Loch Shiel, which glimmered in the early morning frost. The evening meal was good with enough choice. Bar was busy with local folk in the evening. Around £8 for a draught beer and a glass of wine. Room was comfortable, yes the décor is...

My daughter and I paid 100 pounds for a rather shabby, very small twin room for one night. It was very expensive compared to almost anywhere else I have stayed. The hotel was actually empty apart from us so I felt for the money they could have upgraded us from an attic room with peeling wallpaper,a very dodgy electric socket...
