Very disappointing. Advertised 'fine dining' restaurant was closed as the chef had quit. Standard of renovation is not good, in our opinion - no bedside light, 2 extension leads supplying power in the room, loose taps, gurgling shower waste, no hair dryers. Jovial host was far from it and advised us to 'sod off' when we booked out early and...

A perfectly adequate stay in a very secluded location. The room was clean although the toilet paper/tea and coffee were replaced/ renew rather irregularly. The "Sky TV" was just BBC and ITV Freeview channels though. Be warned there is no T-mobile reception here. The food was good though, both breakfast and evening, and as this hotel has recently changed hands,...

Nice enough property, well-meaning people but this hotel has a long way to go. Breakfast was, how shall I put this, cooked by a guy in a t-shirt and jeans who was also our waiter. Suspect hygiene standards there. It wasn't very professional and the food was, well, soaked in fat. The place needs professional management.

As we had cycled 45 miles that day we were rather tired and enquired at the hotel whether it was possible for us to take a taxi there and back. But unfortunately there are no taxis in...
