We've been here several times recently & enjoyed each visit. The refurbishment has given the dining room an attractive & modern look, & the outlook from the window tables is fantastic. We all enjoyed the food here. On a previous visit the macaroni cheese was a very big hit, & on the last one the burgers & fish & chips...

After enjoying a beautiful hike up to Loch Brandy we walked to the hotel for some early lunch. The location is remote and away from the cities which offers a great escape. We were welcomed by a cheery waitress and seated next to a wood burning fire to warm up after the hike. The atmosphere is very cosy and could...

After spending Easter weekend at the "Wallace" Hideaway lodge with our dogs I wanted to say what a fantastic time we have had. The lodge was absolutely stunning, comfortable and exceptionally clean. It had everything needed for perfect weekend away. I was very impressed!! The hot tub was attended to every morning and very hot!! The scenery is beautiful. We...

Easter weekend: Unfortunately, we are not quite blessed with many good country eateries in Angus. Having decided to show some friends round the glens we decided as a last minute decision to stop for an early lunch. The hotel has an amazing backdrop and location, looks lovely from the outside, and certainly the renovations look good inside too, but thats...

If you are looking or something quiet and peaceful, this is your place. We just came back from a one night stay at this hotel. We had planned a couple of walks, one up into the Corrie Fee at Glen Doll, then back to the hotel and up to Loch Brandy. The views were absolutely stunning, the walks just the...

A great way to end a walk up to Loch Brandy. Nice quality food and drink, lovely attentive staff and in an idyllic location. Has somewhat of a monopoly, however! Clearly has recently been refurbished but has been done tastefully.

Was in for coffee and to meet friends. Served by a lovely young lady called Sam, she was very bubbly and friendly, made us feel very welcome. She definitely did not deserve to be spoken to the way she was and humiliated by management. I find this kind of behaviour distasteful and I certainly don't need a repeat performance so...

Other meal was lamb from the special menu very nice too. Friendly staff. Was very busy which is great to see. We didn't have a long wait...

We visited the hotel restaurant many years ago and were very disappointed - but not this time. The hotel has been completely refurbished and has an interesting new menu. My relative said that the Macaroni cheese that she had, was the best that she had eaten (in 96 years!)

I visited Clova with a group of friends for a walking holiday. The food, drink and service was impeccable. There is a god selection of whisky and real ale, so right up my street. Very friendly place..
