This was our first visit post - Dorian. The GTC has done an incredible job of putting things back together so quickly after such damage. We stayed in a waterfront cottage/room with a nice view of White Sound and our own private deck. Our room felt and looked brand new. Food was tops as usual and the staff is so good at doing their job with great attitudes and service (Claudia especially). We fished one day and they cooked our catch that night....very cool! They made all of our departure arrangements and guided us to get our COVID test prior to our flight. Can't wait to return!
Green Turtle Club is our favorite place to go, so add this to your bucket list travel plan! Great food at the club, especially when paired with a tipsy turtle (or two) pretty sure we ate here every nite. The marina has docking for big and small boats, gas and diesel and you can rent a golf cart on site to explore. We recommended to our friends and they are as addicted as we are! We can't wait to go back. -lee, barb, landon
Happy to report GTC is back open! Wife and I just returned from a way to short 5 day visit last week. We stayed in the waterfront rooms on Turtle point #12 and couldn’t have been happier, the room was great, comfy beds, cold a/c and that view can’t be beat. All the familiar faces working at the resort the same as always, extremely welcoming and happy as can be. Claudia, Misty, Miss Debbie, Jason just to name a few, but everyone there is great! We ate most meals at the restaurant not because there weren’t any other choices, there were..(pineapples, Macintosh’s, Plymouth liquor store, sundowners, etc) but because the food and service are outstanding, can’t get a meal you don’t love.... seriously. The Dollar bar was also going strong every night, the drinks flowing! We kept the boat at the marina which had all services. The Island is coming back strong and I recommend you book! We’re coming back ASAP…
We've been coming to this little jewel of a place for over 30 years, and have taken our children here every year since they were little. The island is small but there are tons of stunning beaches and places to explore. We get around on golf carts (you can rent them at the club). We usually go in town to Plymouth and pick up supplies, then explore the island and stop by the beaches. We usually get the rooms on the marina, right on the water. On this trip we rented 5 rooms -- room 13, 14, 15 included a large living / kitchen area in the center which was perfect for everyone to get together for a snack, drinks, or for playing games and cards. The kitchen is fully appointed with dishes, pots, pans, cups, and anything else you would need to cook. The rooms are right on the water with large decks outside. Our unit even had a screened in porch to keep out the bugs. The resort has a pool, the Dollar Bar (for yummy cocktails), a pool bar, the main dining room and an outdoor restaurant that is perfect for breakfast, lunch or an inexpensive alternative to the main dining room. Love this place -- SO relaxing -- we'll continue to return here again and again.…
We stayed in one of the two bedroom cottages on the edge of White Sound and they were very comfortable. A/C worked great and the kitchen had everything you need to get by. Bathrooms are sufficient albeit dated. The very best part for us was we could dock our boat right out the back door so no long walks with luggage, etc.! Even though the rent is pricey, these are not luxury villas by any means but are comparable to elsewhere in the Bahamas. Cleaning staff were great! Pleasant, courteous and willing to help. The front desk staff not so much but while they did their job, a smile would have been nice.
