Spend a week at Paradise Bay Bahamas and discover the Bahamas like you've never seen them. 40 minutes flight from Nassau, crossed by the Tropic of Cancer, the island of Great Exuma is known for its idyllic landscapes, its park and the natural beauty of the seabed. Far from the tourist croud, you will stay in a beautiful 1 or 2 bedrooms cottage, located in one of the most beautiful bays of Exuma. You will stay along the seaside, a few feet from a 1.2 miles long beach on which no resort is installed. Protected by a natural coral reef, this bay is one of the wildest on Exuma.

My daughter and I were blessed to be able to visit Exuma and Paradise Bay back in June and we fell in love with the island and our stay at PB. The little cottages are perfect (we stayed in Exuma) and although I do wish it had a room safe, it really did have everything else we needed. We felt safe and comfortable, and loved coming home to our cute little place every day. Paradise Bay is everything that is lovely and charming…while at the same time quaint and welcoming. It just feels good there. The beach is beautiful. The restaurant Coco Plum is fabulous, and we loved the beach bar and music on the sand a couple nights during our stay. I am already planning a trip back. Everyone on-site was lovely, but I want to give special shout outs to Jason (we arrived super late and he was there waiting to welcome us). This was so appreciated as two women on an unfamiliar island arriving after dark not knowing where we were going was certainly an adventure. Kararis who is nothing short of an Angel, and Rudi..that girl is such a colorful character and so much fun. The office girls were always friendly and helpful. I travel frequently to the Caribbean and I have my favorites. I think we have a new little island love to add. We had an amazing time which was not long enough..and I cannot wait to return. I’m so glad we were able to make this trip happen. This is very special little spot on the island. Until next time…which will be very soon! Save a cottage for us!

A wonderful, small resort on an uncrowded beach, with cottages among the dunes. The staff are great and attentive and the rooms are spacious and spotless. A great little French restaurant and beach bar complete this perfect beach location.

We loved our stay at Paradise Bay! The bungalow's were so cute and the perfect size. The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the fish and chips! We spent a lot of time at the beach bar, the pina colada is amazing! The staff was attentive and nice, we loved Rudy!! The bungalows are right on the beach so you don't even have to leave the resort. Definitely stay here, we will be coming back!

Like everyone - we loved the people at Paradise Bay. Cedric was above and beyond - what a pleasure meeting someone so passionate about his place, the people, and the island. He was helpful, available, knowledgeable, and fantastic to work with prior to arrival. Justin, the GM was terrific too. He was welcoming, and solved a power outage issue specific to our bungalow by moving us immediately (power can also go out on the whole island). His partner Sann Sann was lovely to speak with - also very informative about the local culture etc. The mattresses are on the hard side. TC (she was AWESOME!) was able to get us a topper to help my hubby's back. Rooms were very clean - great lady (soon to be grandma!) was lovely to talk with. Would it be helpful to have buckets of fresh water on each deck to rinse off sand before going in? Super cute beach bar - loved it! We ate almost all meals at Cocoplum - the on site restaurant - as a lot of the spots we wanted to try were closed during October (Eva's, Santana's & Big D's). Having said that - we also ate there because we really enjoyed the food and service. Chantelle (hey fellow dog-mom!!) and Rudy were terrific. I was addicted to the Conch Chowder at Cocoplum. We did try the Conch Chowder at Shirley's and that was a big no from us. Aside from the wonderful people, the biggest draw for us was the location. Paradise Bay has one of THE BEST beaches on the island (and that's saying something since the island has an abundance of mind-blowing beautiful beaches with stunning water). The beach at Paradise Bay was deserted, so clean, super soft sand, and steps from our bungalow. The water was a beautiful color and clear even though there were waves to play in! We were told there are times when the bay is calm and the water completely clear but for us, we loved that it was deep a few steps in, and full of fun waves. We were in the water 2-5 hours daily. It was the highlight for us. We hit a few other simply gorgeous beaches - Tropic of Cancer, Stocking Island (the beaches/water at Chat & Chill and Starfish Beach were 10/10 but Chat & Chill itself looked run down), Hooper's Bay, and the sand bars at Coco Plum beach!!! Wow!! Loved Exuma so much. Thanks everyone!!! Tammy & Mitch

Ok I am so mad at myself for taking this long to write this review. My wife and I wanted to go to the Exumas for our Anniversary and decided to travel to Great Exuma island because it’s centrally located in the many Exumas island chain. We did sooo much research and finally decided on the Paradise Bay Resort. OMG are we glad we found this gem. Remember that these islands are small and do not have big major resorts like Nassau or any other major destinations that some may be used to. Small grocery stores little restaurants and bars spread out. This has now become our favorite place to get away. This resort was the BEST. We had a small cottage that was beachfront and perfect for anything we needed. The staff across the board was AMAZING. So helpful and so kind. They have a small restaurant on the premises that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the food was fantastic. So many choices and it is also rated one of the top restaurants on the island. We contacted Cedric who runs this place via email and told him everything were were looking for and he went above and beyond responding back to us in a timely manner with any questions we had. This place is clean, right on an amazing beach and just everything about it made this in my opinion the number place to stay on the island. We watched You Tube videos of it before we booked and they don’t do it justice. We rented and car from Airport car rental which was right across the road from baggage claim and had a great experience with them. The resort also has a small beach bar with nightly local artists on certain nights which we’re all great. The bartenders were fun and engaging. I cannot say enough about our stay and this amazing gem of a resort, only that the name fits it well. Paradise. Oh last thing. Renting a car is a must and some of the best beaches besides the one at the resort are close by. Also rent a boat for the day at Elvis boat rental and explore the neighboring islands and sand bars on your own. Stocking island is right across the harbor from Georgetown and fun which you can reach by water taxi if you don’t rent a boat. It was just the 2 of us so the smallest boat was perfect. The front office will help you with everything you can possibly need. Thank you Cedric and your amazing staff for a trip we will never forget and will definitely be returning soon!

Thank you to the wonderful staff and Hotel Manager Cédric for surprising my son and his new wife with special amenities to celebrate their honeymoon! The hotel took extra care in celebrating this Bahamas vacation with Champagne, flower petals and a beautiful room overlooking the water. I highly recommend Paradise Bay to honeymooners looking for a romantic beach holiday!

I don’t even really want y’all to know about this place…. I would love to keep it as my own little secret but that isn’t very nice of me. Paradise Bay is wonderful. Everything about it is fantastic except perhaps the mosquitos but it’s not like they are putting them there on purpose!! The rooms are basic but very clean and perfect for us bc we don’t sit around in the room!!! We left by 8am and returned at 8 every day so we didn’t need luxury… we spent the bulk of our $ on exploring the island just slept in our hut!! The beds are hard but the pillows more than make up for it- big fluffy gems of delight. Plus, we were so tired from exploring that we slept better here than at home!!! Kenris was our housekeeper and we could have just put her in our pocket to bring home. There is not a more loving; hardworking person on the planet. The manager, Justin, was happy to answer ALL of my questions and fill us in on how to find whatever we were looking for (which can be a chore on Exuma). Restaurant was great when we were too tired to go out. A lovely, lovely place in the middle of a hidden paradise!!!
