Spend a week at Paradise Bay Bahamas and discover the Bahamas like you've never seen them. 40 minutes flight from Nassau, crossed by the Tropic of Cancer, the island of Great Exuma is known for its idyllic landscapes, its park and the natural beauty of the seabed. Far from the tourist croud, you will stay in a beautiful 1 or 2 bedrooms cottage, located in one of the most beautiful bays of Exuma. You will stay along the seaside, a few feet from a 1.2 miles long beach on which no resort is installed. Protected by a natural coral reef, this bay is one of the wildest on Exuma.

If this location is on your list for Exuma, do yourself a favor and book it now. Stayed one week for a belated honeymoon and found it charming and stunning. The luxury here comes from the location and access to the nearby beach, which we went to several hours every day. Staff was friendly and helpful, they quickly swapped out a DVD player in our room that was not working. On location restaurant is a bit pricey (like all food on the island) but delicious. Can't recommend Paradise Bay enough, and I am already dreaming of coming back.

We stayed with my wife and my 3 children in April in this simple but very pleasant place.
It is a small complex with around ten bungalows with a location directly on the beach.
Cedric, the property manager, is very professional and attentive.
The cocoplum bistro is a small restaurant independent of the hotel a few meters from the bungalows where we had breakfast and dinner every day, quality cuisine and the managers who are French are very friendly.
In short, an address not to be missed during a stay in the Bahamas

Holiday in Exuma and Paradise Bay

The beach is really beautiful and unique on Exuma for a hotel beach (that of the Grand Isle Resort for example has some seaweed something I haven’t seen at Paradise Bay in several days - climates) however there’s really nothing nearby if you don’t rent a car know it.

The stay started badly, the housekeeper mixed colors with white during a laundry, it was almost half of my wardrobe as well as that of my wife that were good for the garbage (including several luxury clothes) because clothes stained and shrunk (when we had asked for cold washing).

Regarding the service, manager Justin and his colleague are extremely symptomatic, responsive and helpful. That’s the only reason I put 4* and not just 3*. Just like Brandon the waiter at the bar!

As for cleaning, floor mats were sometimes missing for the bathroom, and the mop did not systematically pass what would have been appreciable being close to a beach. Also the underside of the beds is not treated.

For the kitchen, there is the strict minimum, pots and pans deserve an integral change, rather aging and very scratched, which is very limited for cooking and especially hygiene level.

Wifi: 4/5
Service: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The setting of individual bungalows steps from a beautiful, quiet beach is ideal. The bungalows, however, are in need of an upgrade. Furniture has seen better days, bathroom is small and unappealing, closet space only an open rack, and our casita, Eleuthera, had a door that rattled every time the wind blew. The staff is friendly and efficient. The only restaurant to visit without a car or very expensive taxi ride is good with a limited menu.

We spent 10 days at Paradise Bay.
Pretty little cottages by the sea or swimming pool in the colors of the Bahamas, well equipped but a little aging. The 4-person cottages are very spacious, go there without fear as a family, “we won’t step on each other”.
Direct access to a very beautiful beach, deckchairs included for residents.
The hotel staff is very friendly.
The restaurant attached to the hotel is by far the best on the island (food and cocktails), remember to reserve your table.
We had a very good stay. THANKS !!

We just returned from a wonderful, restful 6 night stay at Paradise Bay Bahamas. Our two bedroom villa was clean, with a beautiful view of the water and small pool. My mom stayed on one side of the villa and my husband and I on the other with adjoining doors for privacy when needed. Nicka in the office was wonderful from the moment we arrived, helping us with a rental car, booking a private boat and an Aqua quest tour. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning our unit each day and supplying us with fresh beach and bath towels. The beach itself was amazing, crystal clear water, white sand and never had more than 12 people on it. The restaurant on property was very good with reasonable prices. Make sure you bring cash as credit cards are not accepted at the restaurant. I can’t say enough great things about this property if you are looking to rest and enjoy the beach. It was perfect and the price was right.

The most perfect hotel on the most perfect beach! Fantastic location on the upper part of Great Exuma. We stayed at an ocean-view cottage then moved to front (I booked very last minute and they were booked.) Both rooms were extremely well maintained with top notch air conditioning. The beach is "right there" so truly any room is perfect. Being able to charge drinks and dinner to the room was very relaxing (and prices were similar to the rest of island.) While the island is "open" most restaurants had shorter hours and had limited supplies, so having an on-site restaurant was reassuring. While diving we met some folks who were staying on Little Exuma and had a VERY hard time finding food. Almost directly across the street was a local food joint (Eva's) with a fantastic breakfast (mackerel and grits) and we did several nights of to-go snapper that we ate at the cottage. Typically, I am not a repeat traveler, but this hotel, in this location has made me a convert.

This is a long overdue review. My wife and I travelled to paradise bay in November of 2022. We have been going to Nassau for over 18 years and my dream trip was to go to an out island. Great Exuma was not a disappointment. And Paradise Bay was the ideal location for us.
The cottage we stayed in was close to the beach and gave us a beautiful view of the ocean from our front door. The cottage was great. Even a mini fridge to keep some wine and beer cold.
The resort is very clean and Cedrick is a wonderful host. Being a small resort is just what we wanted. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. Many days we were the only couple on the beach.
Just across the road and down 200 metres is Eva’s Place with wonderful genuine Bahamian meals. The on-site restaurant is the Coco Plum bistro and had a great selection of meals.
Please bring insect repellent fir the sand flies although they didn’t bother us at all.
A nice walk down the Queens highway brings you to Rolle’s Liquor where they have plenty of cold beer, wines and spirits.
Further down the road ( or beach) is Big D’s Conch Shack which had fabulous food and one cold Bahamian beers.
The water temperature was perfect and the sand bottom was great for watching fish and the occasional Ray swimming by you.
We absolutely loved it here and are already planning a return trip next fall.
Thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome and for the outstanding service.

Let me start by saying the beach is absolutely amazing! It is very private and sometimes we were the only people around. I loved the fact we had easy access to the beach and beach chairs right out the front door of our villa. If you are wanting ONLY a beautiful beach to relax on, this is your place! The staff is also very accommodating and friendly.

If like us ,you want a beautiful beach but also more high end amenities this is probably not the place for you. I realize it is listed as a three star property, but I thought with all the five star reviews it would be better. I will give some examples and you can make your own decision. I wish someone had mentioned these on the reviews I had read.

The towels, sheets, beach towels were all old, thin, and worn. The mattress was hard as a rock, and we didn't sleep well. We spoke to some other guest and they said the same thing. We rented a two bedroom villa to have more space, and both beds were bad. The villa was very cute, with it's own private porch facing the sea which was great. I believe it is the highest priced accommodations.at PB. The villa had a full kitchen ( pots, pans, glasses, flatwear, microwave ) but not a single amenity except a used bottle of dish soap. No dish cloths, no salt and pepper, no tissues, no paper towels, no plastic cups to take to the beach, no coffee filters, no water. We have stayed in other similar accommodations and these were provided, also 3 star. Some of the kitchen chairs were not safe to sit in. The restaurant on site was hit or miss. The small pool you would never want to get in. Dirty, old, needed water.

If you ate in your 20's and can sleep anywhere and not quite accustom to nicer things go for it! You will probably love it. If you are older than that , and prefer nicer accommodations, you may want to check out Grand Isle. We ended up spending a good bit of time there. Great pool, bar and restaurants. The beds are what killed it for us at Paradise Bay. We could have accepted the other mild inconveniences. and lack of amenities. Grand Isle cost abut twice as much so you will have to pay.

Just an honest review so you can make an informed decision. We would not stay here again and would be willing to pay more to stay somewhere else.

We had an incredible stay at Paradise Bay. Our family of four (two parents, one 10 year old, one 7 year old) stayed in a two bedroom villa, and it was very clean and comfortable with amazing views of the ocean. The beach was only steps away and was idyllic!

We had a refrigerator and made sure to get waters, cold drinks, and snacks to keep on hand. We also purchased coffee and paper towels, which weren't provided in the room.

The hospitality and service was second-to-none. Our hosts answered all of our questions and were always a step ahead, offering to contact tour operators on our behalf, give recommendations, etc. They were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

The restaurant was excellent, but reservations in the evenings were a must.

Paradise Bay is truly a gem! We loved our vacation and will be back!

Answer from Paradisebay B
Hello, We can add an extra bed it's not a problem. For the restaurant you can check the menu on the website of the cocoplum bistro. We provide beach towels. We don't have resort fees :-)
