Just came back from a 5 night stay at Pelican Bay and I'm ready to go back. My husband and I had a stateroom on the canal - beautiful living area, quiet bedroom, espresso machine - the works. The location is great with access to the Port Lucaya markets and restaurants as well as just 5 minutes to the Reef...

This is the hardest review I have ever had to write – because it means admitting my wedding is really over. A group of 27 of us flew from Newcastle, England to Freeport for our wedding. The groom’s brother lives in Freeport and he recommended this hotel above all others in the Bahamas. I’m so glad he did! From a...

Stayed here for four nights in October 2011. We arrived three hours late with Bahamas Air due to FAA temporariy grounding of all planes, minus one lost suitcase which did not make it on our flight. Hence our mood was not the best when we arrived. Front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. First room we received was ground...

We stayed here over Easter break this year in April. It was our first time in the Bahamas for my husband and I and our 6-year old. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Our room overlooked the infinity pool with a nice size balcony (we rented a stateroom) It was nice to have the breakfast treats and paper delivered...

The hotel is quiet, cozy and comfortable. The views are great the rooms are clean and the property is clean. The staff is courteous and kind. The location is perfect! The experience was enjoyable and memorable. I would, however, stay away from their restaurant, Sabor, it is overpriced. Eat at Zorbas, next door, in the Port Lucaya marketplace. The breakfast...

Our group had booked a week at Pelican Bay for the end of August that was cut short by Hurricane Irene. We stayed in a suite on the second floor with a small view (between the trees) of the canal. Pelican Bay is a lovely, stylish hotel in Freeport. As soon as you walk into Reception you feel relaxed. With small pools dotted around the complex and a river taxi that takes you to a private hotel beach area - it is a great stopover for a few days. Sabor restaurant at the hotel is gorgeous - boutique style eating...

The pelican bay is classy and upscale. The rooms are nice. The ferry to raiding beach is a drawback because it only comes once an hour. Would be much better if it ran continuously. Be careful of the shower! The floor is very slippery and the hot water is SCALDING hot. Hotel breakfast buffet has excellent but expensive food.
