As for the Riu, the food was nothing special, the buffet was mediocre, the “themed” restaurants, if you were willing to wait on line (on vacation?), gave you very little food.The best thing was the Jerk chicken at lunch by the pool every day,even the lunch and afternoon snack buffets had cold food that wasn’t kept warm. We ate off site three nights. After staying at the Royal at Playa Del Carmen in Mexico, this all inclusive pales in comparison. I guess for two grand per couple for five days, we expected better, stay elsewhere.....
