I went to the ashram and got an EXCELLENT nutrition workshop by Katie Papo who actually taught me things about nutrition I did not know (and I know nutrition). I wish all nutrition experts could be as forward thinking and educated on nutrition as Katie Papo - great work - when you come back to the ashram I look forward...

This is a true Ashram - not a hotel. The point is meditation which is achieved through diet (2 meals per day - vegetarian - period), exercise (yoga - excellent), service (yes you will work on the ashram), group meditation and chanting (early morning on the beach is best). Bedrooms are sparse - most don't have private bathrooms, many stay...

You better truly be a yogini if you want to experience an ashram communal lifestyle. NO frills accommodations - small rooms or tents. It is a spiritual experience with excellent communal vegetarian food that is served in vats cafeteria style. The gong rings at 6 am for chanting, then breakfast, then 10:00 AM asanas. Then lunch, rest time with great...

As a presenter, the staff could not have been more gracious and giving. The ashram is an authentic center for the practice of the science & spirituality of yoga, including hatha, meditation, chanting/prayer, study, and selfless service. Aptly located on Paradise Island, Bahamas, it is a true place of peace, light and love! Everyone is welcome. No prior experience with...

This is an ashram-resort, not a hotel. If you want to learn yoga in a deeply spiritual atmosphere on a gorgeous property on one of the loveliest beaches I have ever seen, this is your paradise. Lectures, chanting, meditation, yoga run from 6 am till 10 pm most days. People here are incredibly friendly, and in more than the usual...

Stayed at this beautiful Ashram for 9 wonderful days. A true getaway from the strains of today's world. No TV, minimal phone (by choice), and no hustle and bustle. Yoga twice a day with spectacular views. Gorgeous beach for hours of peaceful walking, reading or just enjoying the view. Stayed in a Tent Hut which was a true ADD to...

My brain and body feel better than I have ever felt in my life! The pace here (I'm on day 8 of a 2 week retreat) is fast and peaceful at the same time. Each day includes 3 hours of yoga, an hour of breath practice, an hour of meditation and 2 hours of chanting. So each day is full,...

The Ashram has beautiful grounds, clean facilities, healthy and nutritious food, great location with access to a beautiful beach with clear blue waters, world famous artists who give workshops and concerts, great staff and wonderful spiritual teachers. I especially enjoyed the workshops given by Katie Ambika Papo. I attended her workshops on "Hip Openers" and "Yoga, Stress and Food." Katie...
