The Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau is frequently celebrated for its immaculate premises and spacious rooms that boast breathtaking views, although service inconsistencies have been called out by some guests. Many visitors relish the variety of amenities, like the acclaimed water park and beach access, despite occasional concerns about cost and overcrowding. The resort's location is a hit for its proximity to local attractions, and while the atmosphere is dynamic with lively tunes, a few guests find it to be a bit too noisy. Opinions on value are mixed, with additional fees prompting some second thoughts.

We planned a last minute trip to the Bahamas with our 15 year old, I originally booked breezes resort. After a full 10 hours at breezes I made a decision to change hotels. We picked margaritaville resort. Centrally located in the marina from first sight it was amazing from the lobby to the staff just five stars. Extremely clean and the Covid process had all my boxes checked. Negative test , vaccination card, temperature check, sanitizer all before you get past front desk. That’s what I am looking for during these times. I felt safe and ready to enjoy vacation!
We were assigned an ocean front room.. let me add all rooms are ocean front and simply put exactly what the website shows clean and amazing decorating with a nautical theme no detailed was left unturned including the cool mud room like bench when you walk in great to put towels shoes etc.
water park is a 10! The staff just truly makes your experience better they interact and have fun too! Beach is amazing same with staff there paddle boards are plenty and kayaking and snorkeling at the beach was amazing. For our four day trip we had everything there.
Good at the pool was fast and delicious! Turkey avocado wrap was my favorite!
Coming from Boston my favorite part about the downtown area is Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts are within a two minute walk from the front door of the hotel!
Two ventures out to latitudes restaurant which was amazing and Bah Mar which is just an amazing large hotel that hosts casino stores restaurants and more, it was fun to walk around there!
Each time we left we were happy to be back to Margaritaville to enjoy our stay it felt like being home away from home!
We will be back ! Thank you margaritaville resort !

We recently stayed for 5 nights in a king bed deluxe room as a couple. The view from the balcony was the perfect way to wake up everyday.
The hotel is very nice/new. The beds were comfortable, room & bathroom were good sized. Small refrigerator, sink, glassware, & small dishwasher in the a hotel room layout was a plus. The washer/dryer allowed us to pack less beachwear/shorts & tees, which allowed us to add our evening wear into a carry on ( room has iron & board)!
We had a really great time at the GreyCliff rooftop bar on several nights after dinner. The DJ was fun, the bartenders, and all staff at the bar were welcoming, pleasant and never left your glass empty:)
We ate at all the restaurants and they were very good. The only place we didn't have a great meal was the pizza shop ( We live in the Northeast and have very high standards for pizza..lol)
It's is a new hotel and they are still working some service issues out. They are still under Covid restrictions keeping in mind the Bahamas is slowly loosening restrictions. Things close a bit earlier & the spa was not open on Sunday or Mondays. Check in process could have been smoother./quicker.
Management did ask for feedback while we were there. Overall, our suggestions was that everything should be open daily to guest.
It is walkable to town during the day. It is a smaller resort which we prefer to an Atlantis sized resort. We did do a day pass to Atlantis and activities, it's a 10-15 minute cab ride away.
We went to the beach and there were plenty of chairs and towels. We were on excursions most days so we did not use the pool side. But is has a lazy river and slides.
Also, the Covid test are provided in the lobby and results are delivered both electronically and paper copy. Stressless.
We would stay there again and bring friends:)

First, I want to say that we came for a cruise and were at this hotel during the soft opening. So there were a few hiccups. First, check in took entirely too long. They have one computer available and we had to wait 30 mins. The washer/dryer didn't work, but maintenance came up immediately to fix it. Plus the assistant housekeeping manager personally came back to make sure it was fixed.

Everything else was excellent.

The staff is amazing. They are warm and hospitable. Each and every person I encountered was extremely helpful and apologized for any brief inconvenience I had.

The room was immaculate. Cleanest room I've ever been in. Fitness center was huge.

My Mom loved the shower and the shower gel. She also enjoyed the robes. The beds were the most comfortable I ever stayed in and the towels were amazing.

The balcony was massive and we stayed on it for hours. The view was amazing.

A lot of the restaurants weren't open during the soft opening but the coffee from the bakery was good, as were the pastries. I thought it was reasonably priced, especially for a resort.

I'd love to come back once everything is completely up and running.

The only “good” thing about this place was the staff. With the opening set for July 15, 2021 there is now way this resort will be ready. We understand the issues with covid, the depressed local economy and construction delays but there are literally no services available to patrons. The only on sight restaurant (JWB) is closed until 5pm when the bakery closes and JWB was closed on our last night requiring a taxi ride to Paradise island for a decent meal. Expect an order of “bar food” for two to run in excess of $100+ with most meat and limited seafood entrees over $100 each. The water attractions were limited to an infinity pool and jacuzzi (no waterfalls, lazy river, surf trainer, etc). The rooms were nice and COLD! But daily maid service was only available by appointment and the extra charge was $45 per visit. Alas, there was no bar service available until JWB opens… no Margaritas in Margaritaville!

This resort has the ability to be a wonderful vacation, but not as advertised.
Room rate was $244 x 5 days which came to $1,220. Between, $50 + tax daily resort fee, VAT tax, Tourism Tax and Tourism Levy room was almost $1,800. The resort gave us a "$500" credit which was absurd. A basic dinner was over $150 with their ridiculous fees and come to find out the taxes & gratuities was not included to be used on credit. So, in the end we left money on the table & had to pay $150 out of our own account to cover taxes/tips. This should be made very clear when accepting a "credit". This resort is insanely overpriced. For example, a bacon, egg and cheese bagel after taxes and tip (yes, the guy that toasts the bagel gets a tip automatically added on) was over $16. A typical credit of $500 to a resort would have been more than enough for my husband and myself. Due to the insane markups we ended up spending an additional $500 to eat as our "$500" credit was quickly used up in 48 hours at the resort. I am not sure how our room charge on the final invoice was almost $360 per night. Deceptive!

Tons of places not able to be used. Pizza place very limited hours. When outside past waterpark hours, towels were removed. Had to call guest services several times for clean towels. Hot tub not functioning properly- cold. Only one chair is provided on balcony, so if your not vacationing alone - it's useless to be able to utilize balcony.

TV cable was horrible, I guess buffering to an extreme.
Internet extremely slow (WIFI)

I would not stay here again and will beware to stay at any other Margaritaville resorts due to these deceptive practices

Firstly, I want to acknowledge that the Margaritaville, Nassau Resort, is bright, airy and picturesque! The staff, for the most part, is warm and welcoming. The food at the fine dining restaurant, JWB, was absolutely delectable. My husband and I chose this resort because of the fabulous time that we experienced while visiting the Margaritaville Resort in Orlando, Florida and the convenient "downtown" location of this hotel.

The trip started out with us arriving to a $200 per day hold on our credit card which must have been written in the fine print but not discussed by the booking agent. Although this fee was not a problem for us, other guests checking in at the same time were stunned and may not have been able to handle the charge based on later conversations with them during the week. It was clearly a hardship because they had NOT been told about this fee prior to booking.

Secondly, when we arrived to our room, I noticed that the chair cushions were worn and dirty and requested a room change. We had a Studio Room (approximately $425. per night) and offered to pay to upgrade, but were told that the hotel was full. The hotel was not full as per the hotel staff. There were several rooms on our floor which remained vacant throughout our stay. We were even invited in to see the room next door to us which was a 1 bedroom suite, which again, was vacant! Although the Front Desk attendant stated that she would request that the cushions be cleaned, it did not happen.

Thirdly, on Valentine's Day, we arrived back to our room from a day on the Beach to dress for dinner. Upon arrival, the room had been cleaned, however there were no wash cloths and only 1 towel. Finally, after calling the front desk 3 times and then having to personally pay a visit to the front desk, washcloths and towels were delivered over an hour later, which made us miss our dinner date. The manager on duty was kind enough to try to make later reservations for us, but at that point my husband was just disgusted by the entire fiasco of the week's prior events. The lack of linen happened again two days later, where it took over 2 hours to be delivered after being requested twice.

Additionally, the bed in our room was extremely uncomfortable as it was hard as a rock. This mattress type may be of comfort for some, but for us, we did not get a good night's sleep during the entire stay.

Lastly, what is really upsetting about this experience, is that no one from resort management ever called, followed up or extended any type of concern about the scenarios of our stay, although documented. The complete lack of concern and hospitality by resort personnel for its guests, is absolutely, unfathomable.

Let me begin my saying I would book this resort with caution for the foreseeable future until the resort is entirely open and operational. We were greeted by Mark (I believe that was his name) at the door who helped us with our luggage to our room and showed us the room— he was great! When we checked in we were full of excitement for the week only to be disappointed a short time later that day. The room itself was immaculate! It was very clean and nice. We were disappointed to learn that Fins Up Water Park and lazy river was not open. In fact, the other half was under construction and not even open. There was a lot of heavy construction on the resort property. We stayed on the One Particular Harbour side where there was one hot tub and one pool that was open. Thankfully, we at least had that. Beach access was at the neighboring British Colonial Hilton. The only dining open was Joe Merchant’s Bakery and JWB Prime Steak & Seafood. There was not even a bar! There was a bar at the Hilton however, it was expensive for a drink. There were limited amenities on the resort property. We were not the only disappointed guests however, we made the best out of our week in Nassau.

In regard to COVID-19 testing— the website noted that ,”the resort will provide the antigen test on a complimentary basis, either at the Resort or at the clinic.” You need a negative result to re-enter the US and when we scheduled we were told that it was not complimentary and we would have to pay the fee for the test. We completed our test the next morning and paid the $22.50 fee only to find out from another guest that it is in fact complimentary and we should not have had to pay. Obviously, there is a lack of knowledge and management did note that they had many new team members however, it is evident that they are unfamiliar with the protocols and policies of the resort. We were unable to be refunded because it is a cashless property. In lieu of a refund we were told that they would arrange complimentary transportation to the airport for our departure the following day. That next morning the transportation situation was a disaster and unorganized however, Gemma with management intervened and was exceptional ensuring that we made it to the airport for our departure on time. She was very helpful!

In conclusion, this will be a beautiful and nice resort once it is fully functional and operational. In fact, it would be worth returning to in the future.

Here we go! Check in was easy and the staff at the front were always helpful and friendly. Lekeisha at the beach and pool is absolutely the best hands down she did everything in her power to make us enjoy our time in those spaces. My kids loved the slides, flow rider and lazy river they are 4 and 7 and there was enough to keep them entertained.

The room with the 2 double beds in not great for a family of 4 they literally only provide 3 tiny drawers clothes definitely not even close to enough clothing store or practical. The rooms are very pretty and the view is stunning just not enough storage. House keeping was great and came in and cleaned our room each day and always left us with lots of bottled water.

We ate at all the restaurants on site and food was good for the most part just a note they put automatic gratuity on every single purchase. Our most disappointing meal was at JWB steak house our server was amazing and did a great job however if you are going to charge $80 for a steak the quality of the meat should equate to the price being charged. You should not have to saw through your meat and add salt and pepper and chew each piece extensively to be able to consume what’s in front of you.

Traveler tip do not purchase License to Chill in our experience what was promised was not provided times that were listed were not followed and things were not available for extensive periods of time.

If you are looking to save some money order all your drinks from the Daquari Shop window $5 Margaritas and the 5 for $25 buck of beer can’t be beat.

Did we have a good time yes will we be back again no.

It is disappointing to read of your dissatisfaction with the room and its storage compacity. I am sorry that the meal at JBW was not up to standard and your License to Chill experience was not up to par. These areas are usually top service areas for the resort. I am happy that our housekeeping staff ensured your room was well taken care of and you had an exceptional view our beautiful habour. I would have given this a five star review but there are some areas that need improvement. The fob bracelets kept needing to be re programmed daily. We needed to request water and clean towels as housekeeping was lacking. We requested service daily to refill coffee and provide water but we had to call for it daily. The first floor carpet smells musty as did the carpet in room 1103 or 103 really confusing having to say room 1103 when the room was on the first floor and said 103. That was confusing at times when ordering drinks at the bar. We were upgraded by a lovely front desk agent named Kessa. She was very sweet and friendly. I booked to stay at Margaritaville but was upgraded to one particular harbor which was a condo one the first floor with semi private patio which was convenient to step out and be a few steps away from the pool and the beach. The rooms were gorgeous beautiful bedroom with master bathroom with shower and deep soaking tub, double vanity. Seating area, TV Ample closet and drawer space. A safe. The other room had a living room and Full kitchen with Bosh appliances. Refrigerator and freezer, dish washer, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee and tea pots, and washer/dryer, Plates, silverware, pots and pans, cooking utensils etc.. it was magnificent. There was also a living room with a TV and book case filled with cool books. Pull out couch. Very comfortable couch. Sliding door which lead out to the patio this was in the living room and the bedroom. Steps away to the beach and pool. The view from the room was magnificent. The rooms are sound proof. Was never disturbed by outside noice. It was an amazing upgrade thank you Kessa, you made my husband’s birthday very special. We would recommend staying at margaritaville One Particular harbor if you like an air bnb experience if you want to feel the hotel room experience than Margaritaville Beach resort would be a better choice. We liked having our own apartment it was over 1,000 square feet. The only complaint is that the carpet easily gets wet from coming from the beach or pool and it leaves a damp musty smell. Perhaps staying on top of vacuuming and carpet cleaning is necessary or perhaps no carpet only tile is a better solution. House keeping was lacking. That’s something that really needs to be addressed.
Overall experience was fantastic we will definitely return.

I spent two weeks here for work, the rooms are very nice although they could use some water pressure in the shower. The water only came out about 6 to 8 inches away from the showerhead with literally no pressure. However, I will say that the staff is extremely responsive any issues you have? They are on top of it very quickly and get it taken care of, that’s the maintenance and the housekeeping staff, check out and check in was effortless.
Their points or loyalty program or rewards program whatever you wanna call it is absolutely useless. There’s a lot of hype about it on their webpage but it’s a complete waste of time when I travel it’s nice to get some points or something so maybe you’ll get a free stay in the future or some other benefit. Here there’s absolutely nothing they need to work on that food in the restaurant was OK a little bit overprice, but what is it in Nassau although the wait staff, there is sometimes on vacation themselves because they seem to disappear for a very long time, unlike the rest of the service around the hotel. When I come back, I plan on staying here again you can’t go wrong when you have a kitchen and a washer/dryer in your room!

Dear @JayM869 Thank you for choosing Margaritaville Beach Resort and taking the time to write a review of your recent experience at Margaritaville. I'm delighted to learn that your check-in, check-out, maintenance and housekeeping issues were taken care of in a timely fashion. But disappointed that you experienced service issues in the restaurants and pricing concerns to our STL leaders' attention. Thank you for letting us know that you will be returning to our resort, and we look forward to hosting you again. Sincerely! Craig Martin General Manager Craig.martin@margaritavilleresortnassau.com Lekeisha.Bostwick@margaritavilleresortnassau.c
