Went to this property for a day pass during a recent cruise. We got off to a bad start when the front desk workers were rude to begin with. We thought it was suspicious that they would not take cash - only credit cards. 2 weeks after I got home, my bank cancelled my debit card because of several fruadulant...

This hotel is not on Paradise Island. They don't have a casino. What they have is a ok beach, a nice pool, good service, and a good place to eat and drink. The service starts when they open the door when you walk in to the maids and other support staff. The hotel is near the cruise ship dock which...

I have been coming to this hotel for 10 years now and have always enjoyed the service. Sadly on this trip I found some of the front desk and restaurant staff to be rather rude. Simple requests at the front desk were met with a rather patronising reply which was a shock. Some restaurant staff were openly friendly to regular...

We came to Nassau for three days, and stayed at the Hilton not sure if we were going to like it because it is downtown. As it happens, we loved it! We liked the rooms, which are comfortable. We also liked the private beach and the nice pool. We were in the Executive floor and they offer a good continental...

The hotel was comfortable and the staff was very professional and friendly. The room needed some renovations. The bathroom especially needs updates because the chrome was rusted and the shower curtain rod fell when I attempted to close the curtain before starting my shower.

.. between islands only because i am a HHonors member. My Diamond Status was meaningless and will be sure to stay at the local B&B next time I need to catch a hopper flight. The location is not ideal on a canal which stares at the back of GIANT cruise ships. (who knows what thy're pumping in the water we...

This is a wonderful business hotel that is in walking distance to the port in Nassau. It's a full service hilton that is reasonably priced and it's clean. The beach is just off the port so the swim space is limited. If you're here to vacation, it's doable but not the ideal location. The pool is big enough to swim...

If you do not insist on being on Paradise Island, this is really an extremely good option. We stayed on the executive floor, in a comfortable room with a view to the pool and the sea. The included breakfast at the executive club is good also. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, it is good though not exceptional. Service...

It was our first visit to the Bahamas, and we decided stay at this historic hotel for four nights using Hilton Honors points. The hotel is located in downtown Nassau, about 40 minutes from the airport. Side note: the taxi drivers throughout our stay were all well dressed, friendly, helpful and professional. Back to the BCH: the lobby is lovely;...

The BC Hilton is in a good downtown location, with a private beach and nice pool area. In particular, both areas have cabanas and lounging areas that are free of charge. The only thing I would caution is that there are extra fees for WiFi, maid service, and an energy surcharge. It's not a big deal, but just an FYI,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated on downtown Nassau’s only private beach and the site of Old Fort Nassau, the British Colonial Hilton in the Bahamas has undergone a multi-million renovation throughout all areas of the hotel, and offers a taste of the island’s rich history, along with some of the most modern amenities for both business and vacation travelers. What’s more the hotel is only 25 minutes from Nassau (Lynden Pindling International) Airport. The hotel is a true Bahamian experience with a marble-tiled lobby and is studded with palm trees under a skylight ceiling. There are 288 luxuriously appointed guest rooms with harbor or island views. All rooms are furnished with tasteful decor, complemented by separate shower and bathtub. One-bedroom suites offer a separate living area with sofa bed, and Executive accommodations are also available along with the Executive Lounge, where attentive hotel staff assures that every need and whim will be met during your stay. Recreational activities are convenient and varied for leisure and business travelers alike. A 300-ft long private white sand beach is furnished with lounge chairs and thatched sunshades overlooking the harbor offering a peaceful and secluded access for an ocean swim or a day in the sun. Use of kayaks and snorkeling gear on the beach is complimentary. Bordered on one side by a tropical garden, the hotel's freshwater pool offers harbor views and has an expansive sundeck with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Both the sundeck and beach offer views of cruise ships moored nearby, and of the western tip of Paradise Island, 300 yards offshore. Guests can snooze in hammocks on the lawn adjacent to the pool. The property can also organize trips out reef snorkeling island exploring, boating, golf, tennis and scuba diving. For dining options, Aqua is a fun, casual restaurant serving international favorites with a Caribbean flair, or guests can meet up for cocktails at the Bullion Bar. The new Bullion Bar is the 'place to be seen' for happy hour with great drink specials and tasty snacks. ... more   less
