A terrific experience from beginning to end. Prior to our arrival, Estate Lindholm provided a detailed listing of available transportation and boating adventures on the island, as well as recommendations for dining, beaches and hikes. This packet was very helpful in planning our stay. Any questions were quickly answered by Nicole and Corina. Despite our somewhat late arrival, we were warmly greeted by Nicole and escorted to our room (Harbor View Rendezvous). The view from our balcony was spectacular - from Cruz Bay to St Thomas. The room was air conditioned, had a ceiling fan, microwave, small refrigerator, television (never used), a large comfortable bathroom with glass block shower (there were even views from the shower window). On the way to breakfast each morning, the walls along walkways were decorated with fresh cut tropical flowers inside conch shells. Breakfast (included) was held on a large patio with views of Cruz Bay and included a large variety of sliced fruit as well as juice, muffins, bagels, yogurt, toast. coffee, milk and more. On arrival each guest was greeted by Brion (owner), Laney (sometimes), and Nicole or Corina. Their friendly visits to each table often included suggestions for the day's itinerary (if desired). This time with the staff became the highlight of our stay. Estate Lindholm also provided beach gear (chairs, towels, floats, soft coolers) as well as snorkel gear rentals. Frankly, though the room and amenities were outstanding, the members of the Estate Lindholm team were what made this stay special.

I just wrapped up a ten day stay here and I could not recommend it more. On the island and the USVI in general this would be the only place I would stay. The ocean view is astounding and all the best beaches are extraordinarily close. Nicole was kind enough to pick us up from the ferry and was extremely communicative throughout our stay and prior. Complimentary breakfast is quite a money saver on a place where food is as expensive as St John. Brion and Laney were always there every morning to help us figure out how to fine tune our plans for the day. It's always a huge advantage to have a locals advice every morning as you plan your day. The grounds are incredibly developed and Leo the grounds keeper was such a kind and kindred spirit. I really enjoyed the pool and the honor bar is a really great convenience when you want to avoid a trip to town. I'll leave you with saying that if you are at all on the fence about where to stay on the USVI just do yourself a favor and stay here, I'm really glad i did.

This review is very easy to write as our stay at Estate Lindholm was just terrific this past week. We spent two nights there to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and were so glad we had chosen Estate Lindholm for our trip. The hotel/inn has gorgeous views, is well-maintained, has free parking, is spotless and the owner and staff are super friendly and accommodating. We chose the Salomon Suite in order to have the best view (it has a wrap around balcony) and it was a lovely room. We loved having a coffeemaker and mini fridge in the room as well as air conditioning. Asothers have stated, we had beach towels, nice beach chairs and a small cooler to use which was a huge plus. And we had access to a full bathroom with shower and bath towels so that we could spend most of our check out day at the beach and still get freshened up before leaving the island.

While I had initially thought that the room rates were a bit high, I realized once on St. John why that was. The cost of everything on the island was about 30% higher than what it costs us on St. Croix so they have no choice but to charge the rates they do. And it was lovely to all of the amenities included in the price.

The best part of the hotel is the helpfulness and friendliness of Brion, the owner, his daughter Nicole, Corina and Leo the gardener. They all clearly love what they do and enjoy interacting with their guests.

We will recommend Estate Lindholm to any friends and family who might find their way to beautiful St. John. We had a wonderful time!

Our stay at Estate Lindholm was nothing but magical. Perched atop the hill from Cruz Bay, our room had a beautiful overlook of the ocean and surrounding islands. The room itself was beautifully decorated, had WiFi, a tv with Roku and Netflix, air conditioning, a wet bar, balcony with table and chairs, plenty of towels for the shower and the beach, a large wardrobe for all our clothes, a soft sided cooler for beach trips, and a safe.

There was free breakfast each morning which included yogurt, granola, fruit, cereal, bagels, English muffins, muffins, French toast, hard boiled eggs, juices, and coffee. The best part of breakfast was the lovely conversations with the Estate Lindholm team and other guests. The breakfast area is located by the pool which was perfectly warm but not too warm and has a stunning view overlooking the bay. I highly recommend taking a night time swim to view the stars over the ocean as the pool is always open.

Estate Lindholm offers a pick up from the Cruz Bay ferry, plenty of parking for your rental car, snorkel gear for rent, beach chairs, and floats. There is an ice machine on property and the breakfast area is open as an honor bar throughout the afternoon and evening with liquor, beer, and bottles of wine. You just write down what you take, and it’s charged to your room.

Estate Lindholm is a tropical oasis beautifully adorned with hibiscus, mango trees, orchids, and dozens of other plants and flowers maintained by the talented Leo! Brion, the proprietor, was an amazing host with tons of excellent island tips and suggestions. We really enjoyed learning about St. John and the history of Estate Lindholm from him. The rest of the team were very helpful, friendly and made our stay so much more enjoyable!

We cannot wait to return to Estate Lindholm and highly recommend staying here during your St. John vacation!

My husband and I stayed at Estate Lindholm last week for a belated 25th anniversary trip.

From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. Manager April met us at the ferry dock to drive us to the Inn. She showed us to our room and took us on a tour of the grounds and its lovely amenities. From the salt water pool and honor bar, to the complimentary use of beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear and cooler, they have brought their 'A-game' in providing an elevated vacation experience.

The owner, Brian, was there by the pool at daily breakfast to greet everyone and without us even realizing it, create a friendly, natural introduction and ongoing interaction between guests. Before we knew it, we were chatting it up and sharing stories about our day with others over coffee each morning.

With only 17 rooms and seemingly many repeat guests, it came to feel like a hidden little gem up on the hillside of Cruz Bay.

The rooms are impeccably clean (thanks to our friend JuJu in housekeeping), and the estate grounds are tended with loving care.

A testimony to the management here is the longevity and dedication of their employees, including grounds keeper Leo who has been there for over 30 years. We would see him placing gorgeous fresh flowers inside shells that line the walking paths, and he always took the time to greet us with the warmest and most genuine smile every day. The breakfast area (on the patio area near the pool) was always spotless and well stocked. Fresh fruit, delicious coffee, yogurt and pastries awaited us each morning.

As for the location-It is an easy 5 to 10 min walk down the hill to everything Cruz Bay has to offer....even in flip flops! We didn't even bother driving to town, because it was easier to walk than struggle for parking. At night, taxis are easy to find and they'll take you up the hill when you're ready to go 'home'.

Another bonus...directly beyond the Inn is the Lind Point trailhead. From there, you can go on foot to Honeymoon beach. Not crowded, gorgeous and we saw sea turtles when we snorkeled there our last day. It doesn't get much better than that.

Manager Amanda was kind and drove us downtown the morning of our departure. She dropped us off at Connections, where we stored our luggage until after lunch and we were ready to jump on the ferry to STT.

This Inn is something special. It is unpretentious but elegant. It has been around for a long time, but lovingly tended to and cared for. The people who work here are invested and devoted to this place. They treat it with care as if it were their home, and it shows. We can't wait to return!

Estate Lindholm is THE RESORT TO STAY AT during a trip to St.John. We were there for 3 nights and had a great experience. Firstly, it is located at the top of the hill overlooking Cruz Bay, away from all the congestion but still within a 2-5 min drive of the town. It is also right on the road entering the park and thus, hailing cabs is very easy if you do not have a rental vehicle.

The property has historical significance and is very well maintained, a lot of the credit going to Leo, the gardener. All the other folks operating this resort were pleasant to interact with as well.

The rooms were very clean and spacious and we appreciated having a balcony with a view to unwind. The bedding etc were of good quality. Breakfast was included and served near the pool area and the views from there were breathtaking.

All in all, we would definitely recommend this place to anybody who visits St.John and plans on staying on the western side of the island.

Estate Lindholm is by far the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, not the fanciest, nicest.

We stayed five nights to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday, and got to enjoy every aspect of St. John. The rooms are immaculate, the views are just incredible, but the staff is the main reason I hope to frequent their establishment as much as possible. They helped us with everything (we've only been to St. Thomas and St. Kitts and Nevis) and it's a completely different vibe. Everyone is happy and relaxed and proud of their jobs. Brion the owner and the manager Tim were so nice to converse with. I had a lot of questions about taxis, where to eat, get groceries, the beaches--they were able to answer anything instantly. Plus, they are from there and know all the trails, parking situations, ferry schedules, and they even gave us a ride to the ferry with our luggage. In the morning there are pastries, bagels and fresh fruit set up for you beginning at 7:00, down by the pool. In that same room you can find the free sunscreen and bug repellent, in case you forgot yours. You can also find an old school honor bar, with fair prices (way cheaper than walking into town) so you can make yourself a mixed cocktail and just sign your slip and hop in the beautiful pool, or take it to your room. Also, I always asked, but every taxi we took said drinks are fine in the car. It's maybe a six minute walk to the shopping/food area, Mongoose Junction, and then, even if you dilly dally, a ten minute walk to the ferry. I wouldn't do the hill at night, but we did it five days in a row and were careful. At night I'd get a taxi, their prices were more than fair.

I cannot say enough about this property, it's clean (no trash anywhere), it's safe, your room locks with a code, and they even have free beach chairs. But mostly, the staff and owner are definitely a reason to stay here. I'd never stay anywhere else on the island.

Wow, what a wonderful experience! My wife and I have visited St. John many times over the years. Estate Lindholm really is a delightful place to stay. The views from the rooms are incredible with sunset views from your own private balcony. Breakfast is provided each morning: Muffins, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, juices, and coffee. Quite a spread. The owner, and lifelong resident, is often present to discuss the island and its rich history. The manager, Tim, couldn't be nicer. You even get room service! Air conditioning and TVs in each room. They supply beach chairs and soft-side coolers you can take to the beach. They even have a honest bar with a cooler full of all your favorite beverages that you can purchase very reasonably to put in your cooler. Also, a large ice machine for keeping them cool at the beach. The pool is beautiful with gorgeous west water views of the channel to St Thomas. Great place to sit and enjoy the sunsets. Estate Lindholm is built on some old Danish ruins and is landscaped wonderfully. Taxis come by on a regular basis so you can get to the beaches or take the very short ride into Cruz Bay if you don't want to do the 5 minute walk down the hill. We walked down to town and rode the taxi up the hill. Sweet experience! We highly recommend and will be returning!

We went to the island of for the National Park, and truly enjoyed the time at the the park and Lindholm. The property is just minutes from the NPS Visitor Center and all the activities of Cruz Bay, but provides a peaceful rest in its scenic hillside location. The room was spacious and well furnished with beautiful porch to enjoy the evening sunset and nightly star show. The staff was most pleasant and helpful attending to all the finer details. The continental breakfast was a sunny way to start each day. We highly recommend this boutique hotel.

I was in need of a last minute solo getaway. This hotel is a less than 5 minute drive from the Crown Bay ferry dock. It is conveniently located a few minutes (steep) uphill/downhill from many restaurants & small shops. The trail to Honeymoon Beach is a few minutes away. Super friendly & accommodating staff that made St. John feel like home away from home. And the grounds are beautiful.

Hello! Taxis are readily available in town and passing by the Inn to get you to and from the beach. The walk down the hill into town is an easy less than 10 minute walk! I myself take a taxi back up. Think about the amount of days you will be visiting for. If it's 5 days or more I would say get a car. See you soon!
