Detailed Reviews
Really great experience! This is our second time in St. John, first time staying at this location (it will not be our last).
This villa is a mini resort located not far from town (hilly but we walked multiple times a day)
Amenities were fantastic, clean, everything is new with no expense spared.
Each unit has a full kitchen, and additionally they have community kitchen by the pool for all guests (complete with a very nice honor bar, with mix of drinks & snacks), guests have access to laundry and use of all items needed to enjoy your vacation (Towels, Beach Chairs, Floats, Snorkel equipment) which guests can bring in excursions.

Jeanine (our greeter) began communicating with us before we ever left home and was waiting for us at the property when we arrived. She was friendly and informative. The unit was clean and was actually a bit more roomy than I had expected from the online photos. It was perfect for the two of us. The Wi-Fi and A/C worked well. The grounds were neat and well kept. There were many “small things” that we appreciated - endless supply of clean beach towels we could use and then return to the bin; free use of snorkel gear, beach chairs, and coolers; a supply of reef friendly sunscreens and insect repellent; honor bar in the community kitchen; and free use of the laundry facilities. Though the water pressure was only “ok” (we were on the top/third floor), we had no problem with running out of hot water. Due to the steep hill, getting into and out of the parking lot in the Jeep was a bit of an adventure at first but we quickly acclimated to it. Fair warning - though the location is near enough to restaurants and bars to walk, the hills are not to be underestimated. Would definitely look to book here again next time.

+1
Seagrape Vista exceeded our expectations. Our unit looked like the photos. It was new, clean and well stocked with dishes, soaps…The bed was comfortable and the linens of good quality. The bathroom was spacious and had a nice shower. My only suggestion would be to add more lighting around the dresser/closet area. The view was breathtaking! We were on the top floor and our balcony overlooked the nicely decorated pool and fountain area as well as St Thomas. The sunset directly over our view of the hills of St Thomas. Spectacular! The layout of our unit allowed us to enjoy the view from just about everywhere inside too.
Seagrape Vista has three buildings and about ten units total. The common areas outside are well maintained. There is a free laundry room stocked with detergent open in the early evenings for the guests. There is an honor snack/bar area in the community kitchen by the pool. There is on sight parking for one car per unit. The roads on St John are steep, narrow and rarely have guardrails so be careful.
Did I mention the helpful staff, two happy dogs and pleasant owners ?
We are looking forward to returning to Seagrape Vista.

Amazing hidden gem! This villas property has a perfect location: close to the action in Cruz Bay but far enough away to provide peace and quiet. The owners have thought of every amenity possible from beach chairs and towels... to coolers and thermal cups in the units... to a fully stocked honor bar on the first floor. The pool has an outstanding view of the water. Everything was great and I cannot wait to return.

Excellent stay. The condo was super clean, bed was comfy, and the location was perfect. Loved all the extras they provide like beach chairs, beach towels, snorkeling equipment, and also snacks and beverages for a small fee. Definitely would stay here again when I'm back.

Amazing Place. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Our level two rental (Pitaya) had an amazing view of the water and distant islands and a truly ideal location to watch the sunset each day from the balcony. The pool area is very calming. Beautiful plants/landscaping adorn the entire area. Beach chairs, towels, snorkeling gear, are available for all guest to use. Even if going to the beach areas. There is a pool side kitchen area that has an honor bar which was a life saver at times. So convenient and thoughtful.
Getting to the rental the first time can be a little scary, but once you drive into parking area, you know what to do. Road going to it is straight up and then straight down with parking lot an immediate right turn down once the downhill starts. Walking distance to Cruz Bay area for food and bars.
Definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to be able to return here!

Heading to St John?! Do yourself a favor and book this place. My wife and I just stayed here for a week and we absolutely fell in love with it. Seagrape Vista has literally everything you will want and need already waiting for you: beach towels, chairs, snorkel stuff, coolers etc not to mention kitchens stocked with all the essentials. On the grounds there is an awesome pool with plenty of privacy, laundry, and even a party kitchen with a bar and snacks! I didn’t even get to the best part yet…there are 2 of the sweetest most well behaved dogs living there. Nothing beats a doggie greeting when you come back home from adventuring for the day!
The proximity to Cruz Bay means you can get to town with just a 10 minute walk which we found to be quite enjoyable at the end of the night. Franks beach is right at the bottom of the hill and has great snorkeling. Anything you want to do that isn’t walkable and the taxis will pick you up and drop you off at the top of the hill. And a really sneaky but awesome feature of this place? PEACOCKS!! There are wild ones down the hill and you can hear them calling..we loved how it added to the ambiance when enjoying our balcony or by the pool.
And last but not least: a shout out to Jeanine, the best greeter in the game! She will set your trip off right with a welcome tour that will help you feel like a local. We will be coming back to stay at Seagrape Vista and you should to.

Our April vacation on St. John was made perfect by the first rate rental accommodations at Seagrape Vista. Three colorful and tastefully appointed buildings with 1BR/1Bath or 2BR/2Bath apartments, private salt water pool, parking, honor bar and laundry facilities, are located a five min. walk (uphill) from Cruz Bay. All amenities are high quality, kitchens are well equipped and stocked with equipment and dining ware. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms large and well-stocked. Staff and other guests are friendly and welcoming. The owners, Susan and Anders are happy to share their extensive knowledge about the island and pentiful activities, both land and water based.

The property was beautiful, clean and well organized. The kitchen was sparkling and had everything we needed (although we didn't really cook much).
We really appreciated the honor bar, which was so convenient and had access to anything we needed; such as handy snacks for afternoon munchies as well as sun screens and bug spray.
The pool was perfect and never crowded with an amazing southern view of the ocean. You can see Saint Croix on clear days!
The bed was very comfortable, the views were gorgeous and we especially loved the sunsets from our balcony.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I cannot wait to return to Seagrape Vista!
Thank You again for an awesome vacation.

Seagrape Vista is newer and spotlessly clean...The infinity pool has a pretty view and the convenient "honor bar" is a lovely amenity. Washer, dryer, beach chairs and snorkels are also available.
The owners are out and about and give a pleasant but professional hello to all.
The only issue is the rotten hill you have to climb to get here. Its too close to call a cab but frustrating to walk back and forth to town.
When we first arrived we couldn't find it and that was a tough start.
Now that the Governor allows people to be greeted at the ferry I highly recommend Seagrape go back to adding that convenience. Once you know where it is you can help some of the taxis drivers get there. Since it is new, many do not know.
All and all I would definitely recommend Seagrape Vista!
I can't see not giving it 5 starts due to its location....thats the way the island is.
